Where's this energy when the SEC is playing cupcakes on Thanksgiving?

SEC football has been doing this for years with their OOC. Weak schedules and they end up with 10 bowl teams. 4-0 in OOC, 2-6 in league = bowl game. Terrible look playing an FCS team in November to ensure bowl eligibility. Same thing that SVP talks about here.

I had a good thread on this a month ago:

First of all, @kenpomeroy adjusts his efficiency numbers for SOS. 2nd, the Big 12 isn't gaming the system. They just know there are more quality matchups in conference so they don't NEED the OOC as much. Clemson has 11 A-rated games on kenpom (7 in conference) and 6 B-rated games (4 in conference). BYU who had an OOC SOS of 317th has 12 A-rated games on kenpom (10 in conference) and 6 B-rated games (5 in conference). Clemson's total SOS is 31st (from 57th OOC) whereas BYU's has gone from 317th to 56th. Again, the ratings that make up the team's SOS are adjusted: Read this post for context:

Why do teams like Gonzaga/FAU (this year) schedule tough out of league games? To give themselves more opportunities for quality Ws. Bc those don’t exist in abundance within their league. In the Big 12, whether you like it or not, there are plenty of opportunities for high level Ws bc it’s the best league. So you can get away with not doing it

So basically Brad is mad because teams are successfully playing a weak non con and still are going to make the Dance after he tried to do that last year and failed because he forgot to actually win all the games versus the bad teams?

Big 12 frauds? Maybe so looking at the broad picture. Looking closer it's more top heavy than the net rankings may lead one to believe, but those top 5-6 teams are better than 5-6 teams in any other conference by a large margin

I don't begrudge the Big 12 for gaming the system. My issue is with those who set up the structure that allowed the system to be gamed.

Mountain West has done the same thing. Look at New Mexico. 25 in NET. only good OOC team was St. Mary's and lost. the MWC props themselves up with a bunch of conf teams having good NET entering conf play even though most haven't beaten anyone OOC.

Hah, what a joke! Explain Kansas' non-conference performance (wins over UConn, Tennessee & Kentucky) and then how they've done in conference (tied for 3rd). The NET integrates SOS 100%. The Big 12 is just WAY better than the ACC. Period!
