Nice, But Ditch the tired R for the Dunkstronaut

As a lifelong Rockets fan, this is a clear nostalgia play. The “R” is not iconic, it reminds us of all the teams that “almost” got it done, but could never even get to a Finals. Of all the big swings the team made, with Francis, Yao, TMac, Harden, the rebuilds, now. They missed a giant opportunity with the influx of new fans and new core to create a new “icon” and use the vintage colors and design elements everyone knows and loves. Still love the team, the design themselves are well made, but the direction overall is a miss.

Bro nobody wants pin stripes on the classic red and mustard jerseys. Complete fail.

As long as Fred VanVleet, Steven Adams and Kevin Durant are all healthy. Add another good shooter this off-season. You can get me excited about next season. Regardless of what jerseys are worn. I do like them a lot by the way. A championship caliber point guard like FVV matters.
