This was the greatest lantern core representation in live action history and the reason why the show was grounded is because of the horrible reception of 2011 movie

Hal disappearing immediately after John creates his own oath… then giving him that final wink. 😭💚 That passing of the torch was BEAUTIFUL.

Seriously? THIS was the ending? 8 episodes for this? Hal Jordan died for nothing, with zero consequences. The culprit is happy, the other Manhunter goes free, and Hal died over a stupid argument. What a fucking terrible ending.

The Green Lantern oath has survived more reboots than Windows. One last wink, and the ring still works.

You should be embarrassed for every second of this show.

That was a good character story ending. It was a really bad ending for a shared Superhero universe. It stuck the landing for the character of John Stewart. For the DCU and the Green Lantern IP, it fumbled hard and made future stories far more difficult to sell. Bold choice. I wait to see how fast they have to walk some of these story beats back.
