You have no idea what you are talking about. It is not the Hindus who hate muslims. It is the other way round. The whole concept of Halal is about otherisation. It separates muslims from non-muslims especially idol worshippers. The hate is so much that they won't even eat the meat if it is slaughtered by non-muslims especially Hindus. Meanwhile, Hindus are forced to eat Halal meat. It should be noted that meat becomes Halal only when it is slaughtered by a muslim while reciting muslim prayer.

While travelling in the streets of Marredpally selling flowers, four Islamists stopped him and said he couldn’t sell flowers in that area-only they were allowed to. I am feeling quite hesitant to share this video, but it brings out a harsh truth about the condition of Sikhs and Hindus in Pakistan. The majority of Hindus are clear that Muslims, as a community, cannot be trusted. This raises an important question: why do Sikh leaders continue to promote the narrative that Pakistan is a “brotherly” nation and that Muslims and Sikhs share a common bond? In reality, these narratives only expose internal vulnerabilities, which are then exploited. Issues such as grooming gangs and other forms of exploitation are serious concerns, yet they are often overlooked or downplayed. Esther McVey calls for clearer labelling of halal and kosher meats in the UK She argued that consumers concerned about animal welfare particularly where pre‑stunning isn’t used - (88% of halal meat in the UK is pre-stunned) Transcript: “I beg to move, That leave be given to bring in a Bill to introduce compulsory labelling of halal and kosher meat and products containing halal and kosher meat; and for connected purposes. This is a Bill about animal welfare, transparency in meat production and consumer choice. It does not seek to ban halal or kosher meat. It seeks to ensure that it is clearly labelled. It is important that consumers have such information so that they can make an informed choice about what they are buying. Currently consumers do not have that information, and many are purchasing and consuming halal and kosher meat without their knowledge and agreement. The unique process of halal and kosher meat requires the animal to have its throat slit. In the case of halal meat, the animal is often stunned before it is killed — although it might not be — and for the shechita killing for kosher meat, there is no pre‑stunning. This lack of stunning causes the animal to experience severe pain. An individual concerned about animal welfare would want to know if the animal has been stunned prior to slaughter. Likewise, there are many religious groups who want to know what they are consuming too and whether the meat has been blessed by another religion. In all those cases clear labelling is essential to make an informed choice. Currently, the legislation that regulates animal slaughter is set out in assimilated EU regulation 1099/2009 on the protection of animals at the time of killing, as well as in the Welfare of Animals at the Time of Killing (England) Regulations 2015. Under these laws, animals must be stunned before they are killed, but exemptions exist for killing without stunning in accordance with specific religious rites. Added to that, there are currently no requirements for such meat to be labelled. What was once an exemption to the accepted stunning process of animals has become a growing part of the UK’s meat market. The Government’s own figures show that of the 1.035 billion animals processed in English and Welsh slaughterhouses in 2024, an estimated 214.6 million were slaughtered to produce halal meat. The analysis shows that the proportion of meat supplied by non‑stun slaughter is about four times greater than the proportion of Muslims and Jews in the UK. Although Government guidance is clear that meat that results from non‑stun slaughter “must be intended for consumption by Jews or Muslims”, production is clearly going way beyond that, so much so that the UK now exports halal meat. Between 2018 and 2019, there was an almost 700 % increase in the volume of sheep meat exported to the United Arab Emirates, all of which is required to be halal. Clearly, without compulsory labelling of non‑stunned meat, slaughterhouses have gone down the route of producing more of it. In effect, a two‑tier system has been created, whereby some slaughterhouses comply with stunning laws and others do not, citing the religious exemption, though without ever intending to focus their sale on that market. Unfortunately, a driver of the market for non‑stunned meat is the fact that a step of the process is removed, meaning that production of non‑stunned meat is cheaper. Supermarkets and food outlets can purchase that cheaper meat without ever declaring it to the customer, which is not what was intended by the legislation. We have seen many examples of this over the last 15 years; Britain’s biggest retailers — such as Sainsbury’s, Tesco, Marks & Spencer and Asda — have sold halal or kosher meat without informing the consumer, as have Domino’s, Pizza Hut and KFC. Non‑stunned produce is being used by 17 local councils in schools, the majority of which are not Islamic faith schools, without parents or children having the first idea about it. It is also being served in hospitals and local councils. In December, Labour put forward its much‑vaunted animal welfare strategy, a document lauded for its aim of “preventing animals suffering unnecessarily”, which included the banning of boiling live lobsters, banning the use of carbon dioxide to stun pigs, and steps to ensure the more humane slaughter of farmed fish. I was surprised and alarmed to see no mention of the more humane slaughter of animals and the labelling of halal and kosher meat. There was a clear opportunity to call for the labelling of halal and kosher meat, but it was missed. Nowhere in Labour’s 12,500‑word animal welfare strategy was it mentioned. We often hear in the House that the UK holds the status of a world leader in animal welfare, but such a glaring gap shows that this country can no longer make such a claim. Food and You 2, which is a biannual official statistic survey commissioned by the Food Standards Agency, found that the most common spontaneously expressed food concern in 2024 was “food production method”. In August 2022, almost 99 % of respondents to the Government’s call for evidence on labelling for animal welfare said that method‑of‑slaughter labelling should be introduced. In research from the Agriculture and Horticulture Development Board, 92 % of halal consumers state that clear halal certification is important, so is it not time we updated our regulations and demanded that our meat was clearly and fully labelled, so that we know what we are buying and eating? Surely that is what consumer choice is all about, and I would wager that the overwhelming majority of animal lovers in the UK expect the House of Commons to support this Bill today. This Bill will give all consumers assurance that they know how their meat was produced. I urge all Members of the House to support this measure.”

KFC restaurants in Ontario secretly go all-halal Does the “K” in KFC stand for “Kentucky” – or “Kabul”? Many Ontarians and visitors to the province must be asking themselves this query given that all Kentucky Fried Chicken restaurants in Ontario – except, oddly, for those situated in Ottawa and Thunder Bay – are now exclusively using halal chicken. An internal memo written in May recently surfaced noting that this initiative is being undertaken as a “testament to our commitment to provide diverse and inclusive menu options.” Many beg to differ: how is halal-only chicken and the removal of bacon from the menu “inclusive” if one is not a Muslim patron? Indeed, members of other faith groups ranging from Catholics and Hindus to Sikhs say they are forbidden to consume halal-slaughtered meat. So, where exactly is the “inclusivity”? And whatever happened to providing choice on the menu? In other words, why not offer halal as well as non-halal chicken and let the consumer decide what’s best? Of note, business-wise, the halal chicken only/no pork products would appear to be a dubious marketing strategy given that Muslims make up less than 5% of the Ontario population. So, the question arises: why? In the internal KFC Canada memo in May announcing the switchover to halal chicken and the banning of bacon, no tangible reasons are given by the executive who penned the memo. Some observers believe this is a pet project of KFC Canada’s CEO, Sabir Sami, a Muslim who was born in Pakistan. Could it be that Sami has a personal preference for halal? We reached out to the Vaughan, Ont.-based Yum! Brands, which runs KFC restaurants in Ontario and is also responsible for Pizza Hut and Taco Bell. Our calls and emails were ignored, so we visited the foodservice giant’s headquarters north of Toronto. Alas, Yum! Brands doesn’t seem amused that the halal cat is out of the bag: a woman who met us in the lobby threatened to call the police if we did not leave the building immediately. Notably, there’s been a huge negative backlash on social media regarding this initiative. States Mark Slapinski on X: “Only 5% of Canadians are Muslim. But nearly 100% of KFC restaurants in Canada will soon be serving Halal. This is Trudeau's Canada. Where the loud minority dictates the policies.” Potato Rustler writes: “No more KFC for me. This has nothing to do with religion. Halal slaughter is inhumane, and I will never support animal cruelty.” And a Sikh organization called Non-Halal Advocacy Canada is calling for a boycott of KFC restaurants. This group recently posted the following on X: “It’s time to unite as a community, and advocate against the halalifcation of Canadian restaurants. We Sikhs do NOT eat Halal!” Another sticking point with many is the lack of full disclosure that only halal-slaughtered chickens are on the menu at KFC. This is especially galling to members of those faith groups who cannot eat halal products. If Yum! Brands thinks going the halal route is a good thing, then why the secrecy? For now, we can only speculate what their motives are as the company is not responding to media outlets. Which is a shame, given that we would relish to get their side of the story. In the meantime, we must ponder: if KFC founder Harland Sanders was alive today, what would the Colonel say about halal now becoming part of that famous secret recipe that comprises those legendary 11 herbs and spices? Sharia creep! Only halal chicken on the menu at GTA Wendy's restaurants Remember back in the ’80s when Wendy’s spokeswoman, Clara Peller, became part of the pop culture mosaic? This was thanks to her incessant question, “Where’s the beef?”, when it came to the small portions of hamburger meat served up by Wendy’s stingy competitors. Ms. Peller is long gone, but if she was still shilling for Wendy’s today, her query would likely be, “Why halal?” when it comes to the chicken dishes now being served up at Wendy’s restaurants in the Greater Toronto Area. Indeed, the chicken is now 100% halal. Why? Great question, for which there are no answers being provided. At Wendy’s, transparency is certainly not on the menu these days. We reached out to Wendy’s media relations line for answers. Radio silence. We reached out to Wendy’s customer service line. Yet more radio silence — on the days the customer service line actually functioned, that is. We paid a house call to the headquarters for Wendy’s Restaurants of Canada in Burlington, Ont. It was devoid of life. And when we visited individual restaurant locations, the most-oft repeated answer regarding the 100% halal chicken policy was: “I just work here.” There’s also very little disclosure at Wendy’s restaurants in terms of signage regarding the halal switcheroo. We did not see the halal logo on any restaurant menu boards nor drive-thru menu boards. At one location, we did notice a tiny halal sticker on a dirty, tinted window that was barely readable. And again, the question arises: why is Wendy’s not being honest with its customers regarding what’s on the menu? Granted, Wendy’s is entitled to source whatever food they please. But is it too much to ask for full disclosure? The answer would appear to be: yes, it is too much to ask. And the sourcing of halal products is indeed an issue to those people who are not of the Muslim religion, including Catholics and Hindus who are forbidden to eat food that is blessed by someone of another faith. Given that the Muslim population is less than 5% of the Ontario population (and that not all Muslims adhere to a halal diet), what is the business case for going halal? But again, Wendy’s is shamefully embracing the silent treatment. And so it is that our questions remain unanswered. Shocking. What’s more, it would appear to be part of a disturbing trend. Two years ago, KFC restaurants in Ontario secretly went all-halal. This included the complete removal of bacon from the menu! When we sought answers by visiting KFC’s head office in Vaughan, the staffers threatened to call the police! (Maybe they thought we are already under sharia law as opposed to Canadian law?) And here we thought that the “K” in KFC stood for Kentucky, not Kabul. In any event, if eating halal is a concern to you, our advice is to verify the source of the product prior to ordering. And hope the people on the other side of the counter will offer full and honest disclosure. In the meantime, we wonder how long Wendy’s signature burger, The Baconator, will remain on the menu?
