That's why she was with him at the end. That's why Scott is going to heaven.

Id think about walking my kids to school, thats my favorite thing in the world and I'll only be able to do it for a few more short years. Life goes by so fast, you have to remember to take a sip sometimes

@JackPosobiec I agree 100% when it comes down to it - the most important thing in life is not money or possessions it’s the people you love and those who loved you❤️ #DadWisdom

I would think of teaching my daughter to ride her bike, and the look on her face as she turned to me and said "I did it!"... A moment etched on my brain forever...

He was brave sharing his dying days online with strangers. I remember when Ian Banks was dying of Pan cancer and he was on Twitter just chatting with us and sharing stories about stories. But then some people are super private like Alan Rickman and no one even knew, or some knew but mostly no one knew. It’s so brave I think. He doesn’t deserve to be dragged. I hope if there’s something afterlife he can find a way to watch those Disney movies again with his great step grandchildren one day.

@JackPosobiec I would think about both my little girls when they were little and just pure joy! And my mom and dad and brothers and sisters and nieces and nephews. All the sweet little moments would flash.

I've been there, at least I think I have. The past didn't come up at all. What came up was kids in the family and what I will miss as they grow up.

I had it happen to me for real and it was transformative. None of the negative stuff that I carried with me at the time was part of the experience. I saw the bigger picture and realized that my life was overwhelmingly positive.

I went straight to the anger stage of grief.. just been on X all day reading posts about Scott searching for anything negative and blasting them with facts & my venom tongue (that Scott taught me) but these nice ones just make me sad.

Wow. Reminds me of my 3 stepdaughters (8,7 and 3, back in '92) we watched the Hook. Peter Pan's happy thought was his kids. As was mine at the time. Their mom moved on in 06, but they still have my heart. God bless ya Scott.

My life did flash in front of me during a near death experience. I saw the love I experienced, especially my mom. I felt protected by love. I never saw time the same way after seeing my entire life in a flash. Scott is home now, surrounded by love! ❤️

We cannot find happiness in things, but in simple moments with the ones we love or the ones in need that we help! Those moments we will take with us from this life to eternity, not things!

I listened to Scott every day for 6 years. He stated that the best thing for the world, was that his step son died. He said that his step son would have never amounted to anything because he was a drug addict and the best thing for the world was that he passed. It was one of the ugliest things Scott ever said on his podcast. Something a step-parent should never say about their children. Scott said things for the effect, both good and bad. I’ve never taken his words, no matter how evocative, seriously. Though this was a nice piece.

He clearly loved those step kids. It would have been better to have stayed married to their mother than have given them another broken family.
