At least he's staying in Minnesota... Billy will have a job waiting for him with the team when he's ready for it.

As nice as it would be to have him for another year, I think he knows it's time to hang the skates up. Not saying he can't do it but as others have said in the twilight of their career, "it takes longer to prepare and to heal from the grind". He's ready to ride off in the sunset.
