Democrats could have run on a populist anti-war platform that has overwhelming public support in the US. They could have explicitly said that if elected, they would make sure not to launch a war on Iran. Instead they said the single greatest threat to the US is Iran, and repeated the same Zionist Trump propaganda to launch the war: "Iran must not be allowed to have nuclear weapons". And now virtually the entire Democratic Party, from Schumer to Jeffries, are fully behind the war, with Bernie Sanders and AOCIA doing their typical performative bullshit to also launder it with their "Netanyahu's war" and zero attempt to actually mass mobilize against it, and only Rashida Tlaib being explicitly opposed to it.

The corporatist hacks - with NDIS scammer mates on one side... and communist economic vandals on the other... feckless Labor will desperately try and negotiate passage in the Senate. As bad as this budget is... It will be made much worse through this process and it will be the end of the Labor Party, Liberal Party and the Greens, as they all put their ideology, self-interest and corruption ahead of the people of Australia. We have little reason to have any faith in any of them. They got us here after all.
