This was once in effect in the country for 17-18 years. Secondly, in a country as large as India, around 25% of the country votes every year. So, the people running the Govt remain busy in this circle of election. If this is limited to 1-2 times, it will be better. This will cut down expenses and people will have to take a decision only once...If you attempt an overnight transition, there will be issues. The Govt is perhaps bringing a Bill. Let it come. One Nation has the most detailed policies published out of any party. Just ask the opposition or the government what their immigration policy actually is and you won't get an answer. One Nation is clear. Our policies have always been available at - have a look and tell me what you think. To be clear, I won't just be offering a "coalition" with anyone. If the voters believe in One Nation and choose to send more of us to Parliament, we would be responsible and guarantee supply to the government of the day so that the country keeps running. While that happens, we will keep pushing One Nation policies and checking the details of every single bill for whether it is in the best interest of the country.

We will oppose the introduction. We will demand its reference to a Joint Parliamentary Committee. We believe it's unconstitutional. This week I addressed the major national news channels with all 4 of my Federal One Nation colleagues for the first time. I am humbled by the increased support for One Nation and I know the work has only just begun to prove we are worthy of your support. At the same time, I am banned from attending Parliament on your behalf on the orders of Liberals, Nationals, Labor and Greens. Australia is in desperate need of political leadership. The country needs politicians who are principled, who believe in putting Australians first, and will stand up for what is right - even when it’s not ‘politically correct’. The people have been crushed by decades of Labor and Coalition governments making life harder at every step. One Nation represents hope for a change away from this track record of managed decline. We believe Australia can be an incredible country and has enormous potential. It just takes the political will to make decisions in Australia’s interests first.

Time to out myself, time to come out of the Closet, I can’t hide it any more….i’m fully in the camp of Rupert Lowe MP and Restore Britain . I’ve read everything published over recent days and can’t find a single word I disagree with. Does that mean they will win, no of course not. I also have to be honest and say I’m also very much a fan of Advance UK and Ben Habib particularly after meeting some outstanding people at their conference last week. So why them and not Reform UK ? Simply because I think Reform (understandably) are trying to be too centrist and my concern is they will go weak on issues around immigration, nationality and Islam. Big for sake of clarity, if it comes to a choice of Reform winning or another Labour/Green/Libdem government then of course I’d 100% prefer Reform. The next election will be THE most critical in British history and it’s vital that it is one of Restore/Advance/Reform or an alliance of some of them.

I'm not the only one who has opposed the One Nation, One Election bill; the vast majority of parties have opposed it. It's a violation of the federal structure of India enshrined in our Constitution. Why should the mandate of a state suddenly be truncated because of the timetable of the nation? In the parliamentary system, you can't have fixed terms. Govts fall and rise, and in a parliamentary system, it's bound to happen. It was for this reason that fixed terms were discontinued decades ago. It's a waste of public expenditure as it will result in the same difficult situation. The votes today have demonstrated that the BJP doesn't have the two-thirds of the majority required to pass a Constitutional Amendment bill. : Shashi Tharoor ji on the One Nation, One Election bill tabled today in the Lok Sabha.
