One of my most-asked questions is, Should I still learn to code? Get a computer science degree, etc.? Here’s my answer. Let me know what you think in the comments.

ive been trying to say this for a long time

This is a brilliant explanation. I really enjoyed learning about Jevon’s paradox. Thank you.

No one is saying the need for code will go away just that the need for human coders will go away. Just like the need for the guy shoveling coal in engines went away.

The future will be less coding and more orchestrating and reviewing AI generated code. No doubt knowing the fundamentals of coding will help.

More vibing less coding will be a coding style that will suit some. I'd say 60% will stick to old approaches. May be 30% hybrid approach... and 10% vibing.

idk small teams are getting a lot done with ai and thinking companies are going to increase headcount or hire more entry level seems more hopeful than anything at this point 🥺

Agreed. Same as almost every job now requires computer, soon every job will require AI.

Just start coding and constantly ask for feedback from more experienced coders.. that's the formula 🚀

Well done Harper. I am sharing this with my followers.

jevons paradox, learned about it recently, very interesting!
