The whole surge of ICE agents is a sham. Susan Collins just called up Noem and got her to scale back ICE’s presence because they all know how bad it looks for them and she’s in a tough race. It’s nakedly partisan. Homan is far better than Bovino and Noem. It’s certainly good news that 700 agents left. But they did it because Americans hate what’s going on, not because there’s been a real change of heart.
