My 2nd trip to Memphis is almost over and I’ve again really enjoyed my time here. So I felt the need to say something, especially after what LeBron said today. This city often gets a very bad rep and I’ve experienced that myself. Players shitting on it, media saying it’s dangerous, people asking me why I’d go here because I wouldn’t be safe, I’ve heard it all. All those people couldn’t be more wrong. This is a city very different from other “typical American cities”. Memphis has it’s own identity, an identity that makes it special. Memphis is a very warm and welcoming city. From the second my first trip started last year I’ve felt welcomed by the people. In the Fedexforum, on the streets, in the airport, in my hotel. My experiences have been nothing but positive. Not once have I felt unsafe or anything remotely close to it, not in my week long stay last year and also not in my almost 2 week long stay this year. Now of course every city has its weaknesses and room for improvement. And that’s where I have to give a lot of credit to the mayor and the people who run this city. Even in the year between my trips there has been clear improvement. The streets are cleaner, there’s roadwork being done and downtown is noticeably more lively compared to last year. Don’t let people who have never been here tell you what and how this city is. Memphis is a unique and beautiful city, Memphis is Memphis. I have truly loved my time here and I can’t wait to keep coming back in the future. But first one more game against Toronto tomorrow.

This is the story the media seems to have buried and forgotten. Back in March 2026, a late-night trip to a Waffle House in Richardson, Texas turned into absolute chaos when gunfire erupted after an argument between two groups escalated into violence. According to police, multiple people in both groups pulled out guns and started firing. Seth Jackson was not there looking for trouble. OK, I have a definitive word on the CJ Abrams play from today's Pittsburgh Pirates at Washington Nationals game after talking with Elias Sports Bureau on this. This play will stay as a sacrifice fly. The originial ruling of NOT a sacrifice fly was for the exact same reason that I thought, which is that the infielder is not running into the outfield, which is year's past would have been correct As it was explained to me, in past years, an infielder had to be running almost in a straight line towards the outfield wall to be considered "running in the outfield". Here, since he is running, and he ends up further away from home (157 feet) than when he started (145 feet), this is going to count as a sacrifice fly. That definition is changing, in part from this play to help bring greater consistency, and to take some of the guesswork out of it (the argument that he is running into the outfield as opposed to more parallel). Now, folks all the time ask "why doesn't MLB publish the OS Manual" and I always say because it is a living document that can have the wording change, and the wording for this play will be modified to something like "more towards the outfield wall than towards home plate" to eliminate any confusion. The big key to this play is that he was running on a full sprint. Also, and this is helpful for me, but for all fly ball outs that score a run, Elias Saba reviews to ensure consistency. So, yes, it's a sacrifice fly, and now that I have that info from Elias themselves, that sort of settles this one. As a survivor of sexual violence, I don’t find this appropriate at ALL. Why does a 60 year old man want to look at teenage girls in bikinis and why does our Lt. Governor think that’s funny? Once again, Bryan Johnson's data is not adding up. Update on the vo2max scandal: ・Here is a video of Bryan saying he got two vo2max scores of 53.4 and 58.7 ・His Apr 15th biomarker sheet says his most recent is 51.3 ...and the average is 55.03 ・55.03 is NOT the average of those 3 scores. How did he get this number? ・If he forgot to note that 51.3 was not included in these three scores, OK. No problem - perfectly understandable. Then, I would like to see vo2max reports (or proof) for: 53.4, 58.7 and 53.0 ・Honestly I think he's capable of 53.4 - questioning his athletic capability is not the point. This is the most measured man on the planet who shares "all" his data, but where's the proof of these vo2max scores? ・Also, as I have been asking for weeks, I'd like to see proof of him achieving that mysterious 64.29 score - the one he tweeted out with no proof and a 2 year old picture. Even if it needs to be "investigated" by this team, he would still have a report and/or some proof. From a sheer stuff standpoint, RHP Cam Leiter (FSU Baseball) has one of the loudest arsenals in this year's Draft class. Was a member of the AAC All-Freshman team selection in 2023 after posting a 4.92 ERA with 80 Ks across 56.2 IP. Leiter's first season at FSU was cut short due to injury, though he showed big time flashes in his 7 starts (35 innings). Worked a 4.63 ERA with 56 Ks to 22 BB. Leiter has a high-waisted, prototypical pitcher's frame at 6'5" and 234-pounds. Has added physicality year-over-year. Compact and explosive delivery with big time arm speed. Attacks from a three-quarter slot with a low release height. Dynamic mover, blocks well with his lead leg and really drives his back hip through. Powerful! Fastball sits in the 94-96 range, but has been up to 99. Jumps out of the hand from his ~5'10" release height and flashes riding life through the zone. Plays up—and is at its best—when located in the top-half of the zone. Also where it gets the most whiffs, and last year it generated a 30% miss rate. There are barely any good opportunities to botch - and when they're there, he is capitalizing pretty decently, at least better than his first two years. What he's dodging saying publicly (understandably) is how bad Hackett is.

So I have to tell you what is going on in my life. This last month has been overwhelming for me. By that I mean that I just didn't want to go on after Vinnie died. He wasn't the first to leave me but he was different. When my illness got worse, Vinnie wouldn't leave me. I just didn't have a reason to care anymore. I started looking online at adoptable Chihuahuas and thought I had found one here in Oregon but was turned down because I couldn't take her for 2-3 walks a day and because I didn't have a large attached yard. A "X" friend found this little guy in Texas. The rescue has waved his adoption fee and my "X" friend is paying for the transportation cost. Please welcome "Tank". He left Texas this morning and should be here by Sunday. His family surrendered him (at age 9) to a high kill shelter and a small rescue was able to pull him. Now he will be with me for the rest of his life. He does have cataracts but I am hoping to find help with surgery through large discounts at Oregon Humane because of my age and with help from my Vet if he needs it. Right now he isn't at that point. He had two lumps removed and is cancer free. I hope that Vinnie would approve because Tank isn't replacing him. No one will ever replace him. I will let you know when he gets here.

My wife had to be away on official assignment for three weeks, she was worried because senior man is just barely four months old and we don't have anyone living with us and couple with the fact that our first daughter just had a surgery. Things have been tough and the economy is not smiling and so we are both working hard to keep the family going. She was worried and almost cancelled the trip, but I knew we needed the trip as the allowance from it could sort some important things so I told her to go I will take care of the children since senior man was not on exclusive breastfeeding. On the day of the trip I could see the tears in her eyes which she was struggling to hide but I assured her not to worry. She had to carry breast pump along so she can be pressing the milk out until she returns. It been almost two weeks already and I been the one taking care of the three girls and senior man and we are all fine. Truly I have been exhausted because I have to also managed them along side my official responsibility which can be quite demanding too. All I can is that it is good to marry and an understanding and supportive partner. This my baby have been with me through thick and thin and Omo she deserves every sacrifice that I can make.
