Very very important This is extremely shocking and the people of India deserve to know this. Last evening, Hon'ble Vice President of India and Rajya Sabha Chairman Sh Jagdeep Dhankar said in the House that "since the last 25 years, I have been an 'Eklavya' of the RSS". He then went on to shower praise on the RSS and said that his only "regret" was that he didn't join the RSS earlier. It was an open admission by the Hon'ble VP & Chair that he's a proud member of the RSS. Hon'ble VP & Chairman has the right to be a member of any organization that he pleases. However, 2 days ago, he expunged & removed parts of the speech of Leader of Opposition Kharge ji where he'd criticized the RSS. It is well-documented fact that the RSS is an organization that has been banned in the past for subversive activities. It is a communal organization and also, for the longest time, refused to accept the Constitution of India. Is it fair for the VP of India to be openly praising the RSS while sitting in a chair where he's expected to be neutral? It is extremely concerning and DANGEROUS that criticism of the RSS even by MPs is now being banned under the Modi Govt because the Chairman is a proud member of the RSS which he has openly admitted.

The deeper reason this protest has taken place is that the Indian system - the job creation system, the education system, our institutions, and the media - has been destroyed. It has ceased to function. There are consequences to this. We are now facing a time of serious economic crisis, and in such times, you need these systems to function. The government should understand that. They should listen to what the people of India are saying. It is a warning from the students of India and a warning from the Opposition that you cannot continue to run India the way you have been running it. This country does not belong to you. It belongs to the people of India. It belongs to the Constitution of India. These institutions do not belong to you either.
