@NWSVegas For the campfires as I learned in the Boy Scouts make sure you have a few buckets each of dirt and water available to extinguish camp fires when they’ll not be monitored by a responsible person. Also they’ll be helpful if a rando fire starts as well around the camp site as well

Listen, Reno. We need to have a serious conversation. The NWS Reno says increasing winds will bring elevated fire weather conditions through the weekend. The #BugFire may be nearing 100% containment, but crews are still actively fighting the #HawkFire. At the same time, firefighters have had to respond to several unrelated fires around Reno. This is the week to be extra cautious and help prevent the next fire! If you are recreating outdoors, use common sense. Don’t drag trailer chains, park on dry grass, target shoot near vegetation or use equipment that could create a spark. Follow all closures, and absolutely do not fly a drone near a wildfire. One careless decision can start a fire, pull already-stretched resources away from the Hawk Fire and put firefighters, residents and more homes at risk. Please don’t be the reason crews have another fire to fight. Stay alert and stay safe.

This man is definitely drawing the line as straight as can be to distinguish his lawn from his neighbors. A few things I noticed. One, he didn’t edge the lawn. Two, are we all blowing our clippings into the street? Three, that is keeping your grass pretty short, lastly, that’s a different and cool lawnmower, a John Deere 180B. Do you share a grass line with a neighbor, maybe one who doesn’t keep their lawn up? And do you keep your mower low to the ground and mow your grass short like that or do you keep it on the highest raised setting and like to have a thick, plush grass?

In less than one week, some (but not all) social media platforms will be required by Australian law to prevent under 16s from accessing their services. How will they enforce the rules? We don’t really know. Will more and more platforms be captured by the law? We don’t really know. Will every Australian adult need to verify their identity in order to prove their age? We don’t really know. What do we know? Well we know that the Government are out there desperately trying to sell it. 2 very different faces of immigration - One woman gets what it means to be British and is a shining example of integration and is well and truly one of us. Narinda on the other hand of one of the most divisive people on the internet and spreads nothing but hate. She really thinks she stands for something but is full of bitterness and resentment and is part of the reason these marches take place. We do not need people like her in our society. She gives immigration a terrible name. Unity of our strength not diversity. You will never get a cohesive country that’s divided. It’s all about your attitude and your values. Not skin colour. People like her create their own storms so they can play victim. People have started to see through it and they have had enough. Don’t be like Narinder Kaur 🇬🇧💪

🔥Wildfire Update – 4/23/26 The Georgia Forestry Commission responded to 31 new wildfires, burning 266 acres statewide. This does not include the Pineland Road Fire, now estimated at 31,307 acres and 10% contained, or the Highway 82 Fire in Brantley County, now estimated over 5,000 acres and 15% contained.
