Sad to say that there is no expenditure being made by the State Government of #Odisha for the people of this state and for their development. Time and again this has been brought to the attention of #Odisha Government by Biju Janata Dal that there must be some expenditure for the development of the people of the state, but they seem to be totally neglectful about this. Everyone is suffering. It's not exclusive to any people, it is everyone that is suffering. It's like they're playing on empty vessels, and we all know that empty vessels make a good sound, and that's what they're satisfied by. #BJDWithOdisha

As the adage goes ‘To whom much is given, much is expected, every one of us brings something on board and that is why this retreat is called the ‘ONBOARDING OF APPOINTEES.’ We have boarded a flight, a flight that we are hopeful will take Plateau to the Land of Glory. This is a critical time in the history of Plateau State, where the expectations of the people on Government is very high. We therefore must come together, work together, plan together, and execute the programs and policies of Government together. We have not been called to a competition, we have been called to a Collaboration, and for this collaboration to be a reality, we must bond together. It is an opportunity to make History, History for good, History to the Glory of God. VIDEO: How we used religion to give Tinubu victory – El-Rufai The former Governor of Kaduna State, Nasir El-Rufai, has said that he and some northern governors used religion as a political tool to give victory to Asiwaju Bola Tinubu in the 2023 presidential election. According to the former governor, the decision to use religion as a political strategy was to help tackle the issue of tribalism and religion in politics in the country. The former governor stated this in a viral video. He was speaking to an audience in the Hausa language in Kaduna at an event before handing over to his successor. He said, “Allah sees our heart, me and Zamfara State Governor, Mutawalle did it because of God and we didn’t do it because of anything. We only do it in order to have solutions to the current religious problem we are having in Nigeria and for us to give South West Muslims a sense of belonging to rule. And it is because of religion that we used that gave Asiwaju victory.” He also noted that the Muslim/Muslim ticket that he used to achieve political success in Kaduna has now been replicated in Nigeria with the emergence of Bola Tinubu as president and Kashim Shetima as vice president. He said, “What we are able to achieve in Kaduna state now has been achieved in Nigeria as a whole. There is no liar that will come and say he will do politics as a Christian and win an election. Even Peter Obi didn’t win.” He stated that he alongside other northern governors successfully pushed for the emergence of a Yoruba Muslim from the South West as president despite opposition from some quarters El Rufai speaking in Hausa said in part, “Concerning the Presidential government, what Professor Akintola said is true. You and I have a chequered history spanning decades and I have never lobbied you for appointments after we returned from exile in 1998, and you were Governor of Lagos State for eight years, and you've been in absolute control in the last 25 years. Sir, it has become pertinent to state this lest the deluge of blackmailers swarming all over you might think I'm one of them. My motive in writing you is absolutely pure. Now to the meat of this epistle... DID WE NOT ALERT THE GOVERNMENT ENOUGH? We were abused for advising the President of our country. Some power drunk leaders even threatened and boasted on television that ABUJA was a no-no for the protesters. But, today, the people marched majestically on the streets of FCT and the Emperors and their acolytes were nowhere to be found... I'm sure you saw what happened nationwide. It is a lesson of history that you and yours must learn. No leader should provoke the suffering people, flagrantly. I coninue to join other peace-loving Nigerians in appealing to the protesters to maintain peace at all costs. But your government should improve its terrible communication strategies. For whatever it's worth, you should have come out to address your fellow citizens. The feeling out there is that you've changed from the pro-democracy leader we used to know. A State of emergency won't solve the problems... The way forward would entail a huge sacrifice: the Federal government should downsize drastically, by sacking most of the deadwoods imported to Abuja from Lagos in the name of political appointments. Ministries should be merged for cheaper and more efficient operations. The outlandish profligacy of governments at all levels must stop. The States must replicate too.
