To say this has been a month no one ever imagines is possible in life is an understatement Late June… we find out my wife’s father has the same version of lung cancer she has been fighting/beating and that he can’t handle treatment so he only has weeks to live. At the same time, we find out her cancer is back in her hip socket. Better than in 7 spots like before but still, back. So, the oncologist determines 5 rounds of radiation starting July 20th July 4th comes around and we spend as much time as we can with her dad, traveling down to Delaware every week, sitting on the porch, letting him smoke and talk about anything and everything.. telling us “In 75 years they’re still going to be talking about me.. you know why? Because of how I was always smoking in the alley, in the alley (in his best singing voice)” July 10th, phone rings around 9am… we already knew why.. dad was gone. Quietly, peacefully, at home. But still gone, from the exact cancer she just beat. A complete mindfuck. No way to explain, no explanations, just gone. She asks herself why could she beat it and he couldn’t even handle treatment? Some things, we will never know the why to. Fast forward to today. She completes her 5th radiation session on her hip and get to ring the bell as a sign of completion. But, it’s not the same. She used to call dad right after every session to let him know how it went. But today, there was no call. She fights through the tears to let him know she made it, she did it for him, and she will continue to fight for him, and never stop. She is unstoppable She will never quit She is a saint And quietly, when cancer creeps in, she is a savage and will beat this again

What Modi ji is saying is true. This is just one of the most incredible things that have happened in the past decade that is helping Indians and India grow much faster - cheap, fast data. In 2014, data prices were nearly 300 rupees per GB at 3G speeds. By 2015, we started having 4G, and the rollout was swift. However, even with better 4G, data prices dropped to Rs. 75 per GB for 4G by 2017 (thanks to Jio, but Indians get daily programmed to hate Ambani on their cheap data). Then, by 2019, due to efficient spectrum allocation and the encouragement of competition by GoI, data rates plummeted to Rs. 20 per GB. By 2023, India had the fastest 5G rollout, and data prices are still hovering around Rs. 10-20 per GB. Despite this, young Indians, conditioned by propaganda, continue to complain. They use the world’s cheapest data and complain about "crony capitalism" and "monopoly in the telecom" industry as if they know what they are talking about. They start complaining the moment this price increases even a bit. They talk about how India is sold to crony capitalists and how everything is going to become so expensive, so bad, so soon. If you try to explain how much better things are in India now compared to the past, they will complain that their 200 Mbps+ 5G speed (133 Mbps median on 4G and 5G together) is "slow" when India ranks globally 14th in 5G speeds with lowest prices (3rd lowest). Complaining and blackpilling have become the Gen Z's vibe. Young Indians believe they are so intelligent and think on their own. However, they are merely slaves to online propaganda and are losing their ability to think critically due to constant negativity. If you want to see them in action, just look at the comments to this post that lays clear facts about how good India's mobile internet is; they will still come complaining about unrelated things unable to appreciate. Blackpilling on India is a disease, and I hope they recover from it soon.

For the past three to four years now, I usually go on holiday twice a year — one international solo trip and one local family vacation. I do go for my solo vacation in spring and our family holiday is during the summer when the kids are on school break. Schools have finally shutdown for summer break last week and the kids are already all pumped up for our family vacation which will be coming up in few weeks from now. We haven't yet gone for our family summer vacation for this year but babe has already started making plans for our 2027 summer holiday. Last weekend, she brought up the idea of just the two of us going on a boat cruise next summer. She wants it to be just me and her without the kids. She suggested that we bring in a family member on invitation from Naija, such that there will be a family at home with the kids while we both go on a lovey-dovey boat cruise to western Europe. She advised that we should start saving up for the adventure by September. This woman and long term planning are five and six, and that virtue has been very helpful in helping us avoid financial pressure. We do everything with ease, thanks to her wisdom. For instance, two weeks before the end of the session that ended last week, we have already bought the kids school uniforms for 2026/27 academic session that will be starting in September; thanks to my wife's wisdom. If she hasn't suggested it, it wouldn't have even crossed my mind at all. I am awake now, staring at this beautiful woman sleeping peacefully next to me and I feel nothing but joy in my heart and total love for her. I am really blessed to have someone like her as my better half. I am the often chaotic and the more expressive person while she is the calm, quiet and better organised one. We perfectly compliment each other. It'll be our 12th anniversary in exactly a month's time from now, and I really look forward to our anniversary getaway weekend. Cheers to forever, baby.

As for the heart, it bleeds.. As for the mind, it is broken and as for the soul, it no longer desires anything🥺 My friends and loved ones, this is your friend Mo, and this is a new update.. My area was subjected to a barrage of airstrikes. They bombed a building about 150 meters away from me. I was taking care of my plants and cats. Suddenly, without any warning, a violent bombardment occurred. Hundreds of shrapnel fell around me. One of them was enough to kill me. The shrapnel, as you can see in the picture below, is small and sharp, and when it hits the ground, it is as hot as embers... I survived this time too.. The question is how many times do we have to survive.. Unfortunately, 12 victims fell in this raid. I saw the victims with my own eyes, but I did not see 12 bodies. I saw body parts. They were all torn to pieces due to the force of the explosion.😭😭.. When these explosions happened, the cats were around me and then they ran and started running like lightning. Damn this war. I don't understand what these little ones did wrong😢🥺😡😡 What I saw and what we are going through made me feel depressed... My body started to take revenge on me and it became clear... I no longer take care of myself, I don't sleep well, I don't get enough rest during the day, I don't take care of my health... I keep everything inside my heart and try to smile.. I'm back to what I was... long silence, avoiding talking, staying up all night when it's dark, and wanting to be alone... My dear friends, with the ongoing land, air, and sea bombardment, the crossings have been closed for two months. They are preventing food from entering Gaza. Famine is intensifying in Gaza. People are eating turtles and tree leaves... Even water supplies have been cut off to Gaza... Life here is hell: death, destruction, hunger, thirst, no food, no water, no medicine...and the prices are ridiculous.. What we used to buy for $10 we need $100 to buy it Forced evacuation orders continue to be issued from one area to another every day, increasing the suffering of the displaced.. My friends and loved ones, the interaction and support are no longer what they once were. My situation is at its worst since the beginning of the war. I have never experienced worse circumstances. Your support helps me endure this genocide.. I am so grateful to everyone who makes life better with their words, small actions, and unexpected initiatives. Thank you to those who make my days with your kindness. I love you all, my friends.

After 3 incredible years and 1.6M students later, my journey at ALX Africa has come to an end. It has been a life-changing experience, during which I made a lot of friends, worked with an incredibly dedicated team, and met so many talented students. A few numbers. We scaled from a few thousand students to 1.6M students on our platform. Students loved it and many of them took more than one course: 4M total! For the famous #ALX_SE Software engineering program, our SE students made an average of 2,000 commits and our checker reviewed 180M of their projects. That’s 2B lines of code… and that was before Claude Code. They actually wrote these themselves (unless Kimba said otherwise :) A big thank you to all my SE team mates, I am so proud of what we have accomplished, and I will really miss you all. Thank you to Fred for the trust he put in me and always supporting my crazy new and disruptive ideas. Thank you to my students. It was an honor to work with you, watch you struggle but relentlessly move forward, no matter what, until you got this job. To those who are still struggling finding this job, keep pushing forward. Don’t let go. You got this. You all have worked so hard and I am so proud of you. You are the greatest thing I've ever been part of and I can't wait to see what impact you will have on the world. It’s your turn to shine now, and hopefully for some of you to give back to the community whenever you are in a position to. I hope you’ll keep sharing the good news with me when you get this internship, this job, or when you launch your company. These messages are everything to me. In any case, I’ll be watching you from afar, and you can count on me to continue answering all your LinkedIn and X messages. Can’t conclude without ALX Africa’s signature: continue to “Do Hard Things”. Remember who you are, where you are coming from, and where you set out to go. I’ll see you there soon. With love. I’m still here because this was the hardest fan project we’ve faced in these six months. My patience and leadership were tested like never before to the point that I almost gave up in the middle of the preparation. There were nights I whispered to myself, “This will be my last.” I felt so pressured that sometimes I just wanted to hide and run away. On top of it all, I was carrying my own personal struggles, which made every step heavier. We took risks in almost every decision we made during this project. There were times when all we could say was, “Naniniwala kami sa Cheffies.” From tickets and props to the fan project and the fanzone everything was about risk and trust. Trusting the Cheffies that they would show up. Trusting the sponsors that they were only waiting for us to open our plan. Trusting Dustin and Bianca that they would see and hear our efforts. And above all, trusting each other as admins that no matter what happens, we would not give up on this. But it wasn’t just about risks. It was about sacrifices the sleepless nights, the drained wallets, the heavy emotions, and the constant balancing act between work life and fandom life. It was about choosing to fight even when we were tired, choosing to stay even when walking away seemed easier. Every small victory mattered, and every breakdown taught us something new. Looking back at these six months, I realized it’s not only about the events, the projects, or the milestones. It’s about the people who stood by me when I thought I couldn’t go on. The people I met along the way who turned into a second family. The laughter in between the stress, the comfort in the middle of the tears, and the bonds that were built in both the best and worst days. This is why, even when I wanted to let go so many times, I stayed. Because every hardship was matched with a reminder that I was not alone. Because this fandom has become more than just support for Dustin and Bianca it has become a home where friendships are nurtured, where trust is strengthened, and where love is felt. So this 6th monthsary is not just a celebration of Dustin and Bianca, though they remain the heart and reason for all of this. It is also a celebration of the Cheffies who never stopped believing, of the sponsors who trusted us, of the admins who fought side by side, and of the family we’ve built within Casa Dustbia. To Dustin Yu and Bianca De Vera, thank you for being the inspiration that started all of this. You may never fully know the weight of what we’ve gone through, but because of you, we learned to be braver, stronger, and more united. And to my Casa Dustbia family, thank you for reminding me that even in the hardest of our story, there is always something worth holding on to. Six months have passed, but this is just the beginning. More pages are waiting to be written with laughter, tears, risks, and victories. And as long as we continue to believe, to fight, and to love, we will keep turning those pahina together. Happy 6th monthsary, Dustin, Cheffies, Sponsors and Bianca. Mahal na mahal namin kayo today, tomorrow, and in every chapter that’s yet to come. 🫂💛

Yesterday my dog, Fischer, died suddenly and unexpectedly. I’m still in shock, blindsided by it all. He was as central a member of my family as any person. I’d like to tell you his story, briefly. 8 years ago, my 12-year old dog, Bandit, died after a long battle with kidney disease. A week later on a fishing trip, my brother encountered an abandoned, starving dog that swam out to his boat. When no owner could be found, I reluctantly took the dog in, and named him Fischer. I’m so glad I did. Along with his older sister, Daisy, he was my pandemic dog, my hiking buddy, and my left armrest while watching tv or gaming. He loved pawing at Red XIII (which we jokingly called him, the counterpart to my other dog, a Torgal lookalike), and he loved play fighting me while I tried to make my bed after he would crawl in it during the night. He loved playing fetch, and especially curling up against me for safety during storms. He was 90 pounds of rambunctious devotion. And God he loved me. We unknowingly spent his final morning on a hike. He chased and ran and played like usual. It was a perfect last memory with him, doing what we loved doing together most. He was “a fine hound,” and one of my favorite blessings. We’re going to miss him so much, but are so thankful for his life. That’s the thing about gratitude. It commingles with grief in such a way that both can breathe. And in that way, I guess I can breathe, too. At least, that’s what I’m trying to practice. Every gasp of sadness is met with an exhale of gratitude. I know many of you loved seeing him on stream. The couch behind me may have a Red XIII-sized hole now, but I’ll always cherish the memories of us in that room. Maybe we’ll do a Fischer stream and talk about grief soon, but I’ll need a minute. Today though, I want to thank you all for loving him, and me, so well. Thanks, everyone, for your prayers and support as I breathe through this.

The Duchess of Sussex has said that wearing tights to conform to the Royal family’s dress code made her feel “inauthentic”.😵‍💫 "The Duchess said that when she had to be away from her children for the Queen's funeral she was not ok.."😵‍💫 Meghan left the RF it will be 6 years in a couple of Months. The Queen has been dead for 3 years. Why are tights from 6 years ago and a funeral from 3 years ago the topic of a podcast in the last week of August 2025?🤡 Is it because the RF closed their doors and will never welcome her back? Or Is it because her second part of her cooking show that dropped today is flopping so bad, it is being skewered once again by the critics?😏 Why is Meghan today on a podcast talking about events from 6 years and 3 years ago? Because my dear, Meghan's future is already in her past. Her present is in her past. Her "best" came and went🔥 She is the definition of a "Has-Been". That is why she sounds like a broken record stuck on the same track song. She lost what she wanted the most: Life among Royalty. Now all she can do at 45 years old to massage her ego, is sit amidst other c-list hollywood celebrities to reminisce about those "18 Glorious months" she spent cosplaying Royalty; because as the saying goes: "Among the Blind, the one eyed man is King".🤷🏽‍♀️ Let me illustrate how stagnant Meghan has been: When Meg left the RF, Prince George was a 6 year old boy and Meg was crying about the RF on interviews and podcasts. Today Prince George is a 12 year old teen who is already learning to Pilot Helicopters per the Reports. Meg is still sitting on interviews and podcasts crying about the RF😂🤣😭

The time has finally come for me to watch this biggest little film of ours fly out of our hands and into the world. To Chris Sanders, working on this story with you has been a dream come true. I will never forget how my stunned little heart felt the day you and Jeff offered me Head of Story. It has been one of the great thrills of my life to shape this story with you. Thank you. To my story team! Thank you. You, along with our amazing production team lead by Jeff, Heather, Stephanie and our powerhouse edit team lead by Mary, are all brilliant and I loved every minute of finding and crafting this story with you. I was in the middle of boarding The Egg Hatches scene, when I got the news that my mom had unexpectedly passed away from a complication during surgery. And part of me feels like there is some beautiful symbolism there that right when I lost her, this thing was being born for me to help me deal with her loss. As story artists, we have to live in the scenes that we work on for hours each day. And this film (from peter brown! ‘s beautiful book) gave me a place to live. In scenes and a story that could honor my mom, and all mothers. And that is just a gift that I can never repay any of you for. I still ask myself sometimes, how did I get so lucky that they offered this to me? But I’m so glad they did because I think I needed this project even more than it needed me. On one of my last days in London watching the record of Kris Bowers’ beautiful score, sitting in the converted church that is Air Studios, I could somehow feel my mom speaking to me through the words of the lovely choir: I’m gonna live forever in you, long as the sky and oceans are blue, I’ll always love you and I’ll never stop. I’ll always be there even when I’m not.” And everything came full circle. I miss you Mom. I hope that this film will always stand as a love letter to all moms. As it was the place I put all of my unexpressed love for you. And with that, it’s just as hard for me to say these words as it was for Roz in The Wild Robot but here goes: ROZZUM 7134 Task Complete ✔️ I really hope you all love the film. 🥺♥️ #TheWildRobot

The conventional route from Mangalore to Coimbatore is via Madikeri - Mysore - Satyamangalam. On this trip I Decided to try investigate two alternatives. On the forward journey I used the coastal highway through Kerala which is a true alternative and will get even better when Kannur bits are done and with a better east west highway from Kozhikode to Palakkad. On the way back though I tried something different. One of South India’s longest mountain drives. It’s almost as the crow flies. I expected a long and tiring drive through the hills but it was surprisingly pleasant. Exiting Coimbatore I drove to ooty. I chose the Kotagiri way rather than Connor. You need to do an online epass to enter the Nilgiris’s which I did on my way. A great breakfast at the Travertine Bungalow in ooty and we headed down via Gudalur. Kalhatti wasn’t open for non TN43 cars heading down. Gudalur is suddenly a bustling town. From Gudalur we headed to Sultanbathery. It’s a most gorgeous town with a lot of prosperity and cleanliness. I haven’t seen a better kept small town under 1 lac population. I’m outing Sultan Bathery as an incredible small town for India. Then we skirted the forests of the tri junction of TN KL and KA and entered Karnataka from Tolpetty-Kutta. The roads in the hills were fantastic except in Karnataka. Very stop gap inconsistent road surfaces with no marking poor shoulders and random junk and debris everywhere. Coorg is the most prosperous between Wayanad and Nilgiris yet karnataka has a long way to go on general beautification, cleanliness and nice roads. Karnataka is definitely the least well managed southern state. Madikeri Mangalore is good and fast. Overall about 9 hours of driving and and hour or two for stops. If you love driving, this road never leaves the mountains and it’s 16-24 degrees through. Beautiful hill drive. Funny enough, the driving time was exactly the same. The stops I took were longer. Maybe fatigue from navigating two track roads. Not a single dual carriageway on this whole route.

Thank you, Kuztom Pitch admins 💛💙 Kuztom Pitch Thank you for tolerating my silly WhatsApp stickers (I know Stef stef ⋒❀ definitely got a kick out of them 😂), for easing my stress and anxiety, for the cute virtual hugs, and for answering my million questions about microphones — how they work, what a capsule is, what a transmitter is, and everything else in between. Thank you for being there at 1, 2, even 3 AM Bangkok time while it was afternoon in New York and Canada, just to talk with us and tell me for the hundredth time, “It’s okay Bella, everything will be okay.” (Stef, was damn calm wasn’t she?!) Thank you for sharing small, gentle fangirl moments with us, for making us laugh, and for surviving the legendary “WE FORGOT THE CHARGERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!” crisis together! 😭 And the iconic “the IEMs don’t match!” moment, which fully exposed to Stef and all of you that Bella might be just a little bit OCD 😂 You were genuinely the sweetest admin team to work with, and your offer to stay friends after the project honestly made my heart swell because you really do feel like good friends to us now. Thank you for making this weird girl’s fangirl dreams come true. 🌞🌙 (Stef, isn’t weird so I excluded her from that 🤣). It’s going to feel a little strange not talking to you every day anymore, but hopefully after all of this we can still check in on each other and make new memories together preferably less chaotic and dramatic ones 🤭 I am STILL laughing at your “I thought I did something wrong!?” after I squealed over the case photos you so kindly shared 😭 You are all so loved by me, and when I finally get to Bangkok, I’m absolutely holding you to your promise of giving me that hug. I truly wish your entire team nothing but success in the future. You went above and beyond for us. You worked so hard, stayed up late, answered every question, and always made sure we understood everything clearly. I will never forget how much you looked out for us throughout this entire process. It means the world to me how kind you were to a strange little fangirl like me — and to Stef, who was the calm in my chaotic storm (thankfully you only had to parent me through all of this 🤣 Stef was definitely the chill one in our group). Please take care of yourselves, all of you. Eat well, sleep early when you can, and don’t work too hard, okay? Bella will always worry about you 💛 And I truly hope with all my heart that one day we’ll get to work together again whether it’s future customizations, more microphone chaos, or another impossible fangirl dream somehow becoming real again. ✨ And like you said, this isn’t our end! It’s just one memory in the friendship we formed 💛💙 #JuniorMark #Junniorrs #markjrts
