He was kicked against the door, which opened, leading to him falling out of the train that was travelling at 120 km/h. He remains in a critical condition in hospital. The perpetrator was identified, and prosecutors demanded that he be arrested and held in pre-trial detention. A court refused to sanction an arrest warrant, arguing the attacker could not have known that the train door would have opened during the beating. This is despite the attacker already being a convicted offender who is only out on probation following a previous offense.
