One would expect no less from DPD. The driver seemed a bit aggrieved I was doing 20mph in a, erm... 20mph limit. Remember. DPD deliveries are more important than vulnerable road users' lives. Go get 'em DPD. Nice work.

Had someone do exactly the same to me along here earlier this week, but they'd forgotten about the second speed camera and got a very satisfying (for me) flash. Wonderful karma.

I’ll keep my open for someone riding a bike with a repaired Scott frame I guess… ;)

That thing is mainly in the bin, but I kept the downtube and bottle cage – I have it mounted on my shed wall and use it as a bottle holder for the turbo trainer 😂 But, I'm a waver, so maybe we've crossed paths! 👋

@_VN5 These vehicles should be fitted with mandatory GPS speed limiters. In fact, I’d not be against that in all vehicles.

Hey they’ve got deliveries to do… Park up & let them through! Was once told by a Royal Mail delivery driver “do you want your Christmas presents or not” - as if to justify his driving. The attitude of some drivers is horrendous, as if a delay of seconds is the end of the world

20 mph zones, should be no overtaking zones, there is no significant speed differential between the car/bike/van in front and the speed the car/bike/van behinds gets to travel at after overtaking.

I’ll give it a go, hang on. “That vehicle is taxed, insured and has an m.o.t. The driver has passed a test that entitles him to be on the road.” There. How did I do?

@ChaponaBike123 You mean pull over to let the cars that are illegally speeding past? Do you also get angry at other motor vehicles when they are travelling at the speed limit? Do you instantly pull over when someone is behind you?

@ChaponaBike123 This is quite literally 2 seconds before the overtake. What has 60mph roads got to do with anything?

@MGIFOTB Wait until you find out how many people motorists manage to collectively kill and maim every year in the UK.

We are not DPD we have nothing to do with DPD but I would like to take this opportunity to say sorry for the risk that a vehicle from our industry has caused you in this poor display of roadcraft . I am on a one man mission to improve the driving skills of delivery vans

If you’re doing 20 then he’s speeding!

DPD = Drives Pretty Dangerously? Regardless of whether a courier is on two or four wheels, they seem to drive/ride like morons. Except for Royal Mail drivers, who seem to drive with greater care (or perhaps just less urgency) around where I live.

1. If you're a vulnerable road user why not slow down and allow the "danger" to move past you? 2. Doesn't matter what speed you're doing, you're not there to enforce the speed limit. If a driver wants to speed it's their choice, you're not there to prevent them from doing so.

DPD is the worst delivery service anyway. I avoid them.

It's wrong for sure but a lot of these delivery drivers are put under impossible performance pressure by the companies. Something really needs to be done.

You should report the driver to DPD, they take driving standards seriously and will probably speak to the driver.

If you class yourself as ‘vulnerable’ maybe you shouldn’t be in the riad in the first place

I agree cyclists think nothing about pedestrians when they are speeding through floating bus stops etc

20mph on a road bike. You could have killed someone at that speed!

@grok what's your take on this case?

If you keep blocking the road every day, sooner or later you'll find a person who is having a bad day and has nothing to lose.

Well to put it into context. I’d be extremely annoyed if I didn’t receive a parcel I was waiting for. And considering lots of people die everyday I’d regard my DPD delivery more important. It could be my dogs food!

@grok what speed do you estimate the cyclist was travelling at in this video?

Ryan Reacts's profile picture
Ryan Reacts8 days ago

So someone using a RACING BIKE (note the drop handlebars ) classes himself as ‘vulnerable’? whilst cycling faster than a ‘vulnerable’ person should. Sounds like another cyclist living in victimhood mode
