It takes a special kind of courage to be a Black, well-known public figure in America and openly say, “I support President Trump.” Nicki Minaj Not because it’s trendy. Not because it’s safe. But because it’s honest. In today’s political climate, disagreement isn’t debated, it’s punished. People are digitally persecuted, socially exiled, blacklisted, smeared, and “assassinated” in the court of public opinion simply for thinking differently. For Black celebrities, the cost is even higher. You’re expected to vote a certain way. Speak a certain way. Believe a certain way. Or face character destruction. That’s not freedom. That’s coercion. So when someone stands up anyway, knowing the backlash, the threats, the cancellations — that’s not sellout behavior. That’s backbone. That’s conviction. We have all praised Josh Allen’s talent, explosiveness & greatness. He literally jumps off the film. We can’t change the criteria when we want to though. It’s always been about wins and losses. It’s always been about elevating your team, & not hurting them. That’s what Jalen Hurts does. In the most important moments he has been his best. Against the best teams he’s shown up and out.
