@JohnPiper @TGC He seems to miss the point of what AI is and what it can do. He seems threatened by a tech that will let ordinary people see that they don't need John Piper to understand the Bible. AI can give a neutral summary of Scripture that is not pushing a Reformed agenda, for example.

@JohnPiper @TGC We use prayer books (think Valley of Vision) and other resources to help us know, create, and understand prayer. Why not AI? We can program and condition AI to subscribe to biblical thinking and particular doctrine and theology. We can fact check it for faithfulness to scripture.

@JohnPiper @TGC This runs completely contrary to his Calvinist theology. Supposedly the universe is created solely to glorify God - and anything and everything accomplishes that, so it makes no difference how, who, or why because all of it, including the sin *he* ordains, glorifies him equally.

@JohnPiper @TGC I agree with him to a point we worship God body soul and spirit. Emotions are part of that. Worship is a human act and should reflect the genuine belief and faith of the Church past present and future not an imitation of what we should say

@JohnPiper @TGC It’s funny how every new tech is opposed. At its advent, social media was considered evil, but now virtually every pastor has and uses it. Piper is one of my faves, but I disagree here. Whereas people can honor with lips without heart, AI cannot honor at all. The words are great.

@JohnPiper @TGC A real prayer, not according to Calvinist Don Carson, but Jesus tells us to pray your Kingdom Come, Your Will be done on earth as it is in heaven. This is proof not all things are done on earth, no scripture says God determines everything that comes to pass.
