Legal size paper is 8.5 inches wide by 14 inches long. More space. Just sayin'

My handwritten manuscripts are like yours...color coded, organized by the organic pericopes that arise out of the grand context and line-by-line exegesis. Typed up.... lots of foot notes and emoji/icons to connect the pericopes. No luck on a one-page design yet when typed up; my format is 1 page for 5 minutes of practiced speech plus 2 minutes for "riffing." I'll try your technique with the simple boxes but how do you read such small print?

They call me eagle eye!!! Haha actuality, I explain in the longer video that I don’t often read the notes, they are just there for reference if needed :)
