Onew clarifying with the crowd letting everyone know he was NOT saying the English n word but rather “i am” in Korean . Very culturally aware, love that for him. If Onew knows that word then there’s no excuse for these other idols! #ONEWTHELIVE_CHICAGO #ONEWTHELIVE_USA

Guys i just want to say no one forced him to do this 😅 he just heard the crowd get a little quiet around that part in the song but i believe people were just being self conscious singing without him for a moment. He didn’t have to clarify ofc but he just wanted to make sure

The crowd were comfortable and not feeling awkward.

He really was afraid to have said something wrong. You could see his relief after getting it all clear with the audience > 0:40 - 0:45 he is a really sensitive careful soul 🩵🩷💚

In Japanese, Finnish, Sweden and many other languages there are words that sound like really gross, offensive Italian words. And this goes for so many other languages in the world. Nobody cares. How did it happen that foreign words are an issue only for English native speakers?

The fact that he is a native Korean with minimal English but knows the word and knows that he can’t say it makes me so happy. Some of these idols, especially the English speaking ones or at least born in an English speaking country be acting so oblivious it’s insane.

I actually find it stupid, egocentric and ignorant from American(USA) fans the need to force a KOREAN artists that sing in KOREAN to clarify his own language.

No one forced him, the crowd said nothing. He brought it up because this was regarding us singing along with him starry night and he heard us get quiet for a moment when he stopped singing with us so he thought we did that on purpose over the “n word”

Onew loves his fans so much and I’m sure he want to let them know. Goes to show that he really does look out for his fans and want them to feel safe

Naega and the n word don’t even sound the same. I hate that ppl made this a thing. Got ppl scared to speak their own language🙄

Actually I don't even think he should feel obligated to explain that. He sings in korean so a wise crowd would understand that this is another language. If anyone is offended or expecting anything they should just leave and stop being sensitive to literally NOTHING.

Clavicular ran into some yns who pressed him hard for saying the N-word on stream - but then they straight-up told him they were perfectly cool with it and gave him the full pass 😭👀 “Yo Clav, what’s good with you saying the N-word? That ain’t it… nah, we messing with you. You got the pass, you a real n*gga”
