Happy Final Space Saturday! Updates! PRE-ORDER CUT-OFF – NOVEMBER 15TH While the novels are being printed, I’ve been working on trying to lock down a potential distribution deal. I’m calling it Operation: PIGGYBACK THROUGH A LOOPHOLE. Basically, if I piggyback off a shipment that GUNGNIR buys from (since my contract requires me to sell through my site) to supply libraries and potentially bookstores, I could use Gungnir's distributor to ship out the pre-orders because they will be on the same shipment as the ones he has purchased. Since I’d already be in their system, they could then ship the pre-order novels out faster basically around the same time. It’s a wild plan and not confirmed yet, but if it works, it’d be huge. The shipping costs roughly balance out the same, since shipping has gotten worse out there in the world than two years ago, but this setup would also put all the taxes and duties on my side, not yours. The PRE-ORDER COLOR EDITION (switches to stock on November 15th) and the MIDNIGHT EDITION (only 490 left) will not be reprinted once they’re gone. The only copies that will exist after that will be the distribution cover designed specifically for libraries and bookstores. Much later if I decide to print all the expansions into one massive Definitive Edition when they’re complete the page count could go north of 700+ pages (still not confirmed). These are not Pokemon cards, you do not need to collect them all. If this deal goes through, there’s a good chance I’ll do a book tour, and your novel will be your ticket. Instead of doing pre-orders through Amazon, B&N, and other major marketplaces, you sell your books directly through your own (or your publisher's) online store. Why do this? There are three huge benefits: 1. Build a direct connection with your readers 2. Offer bundles and unique pre-order perks 3. Keep 40% more of each sale by avoiding Amazon royalty fees Plus, it's just a better experience for your readers. Look at the examples I share in the video. We are doing direct pre-orders for Damn Gravity's two upcoming titles: 'The Experimentation Machine' by Jeff Bussgang and 'Building Rocketships' by Oji Udezue and Ezinne Udezue But we aren't the only ones. Jim O'Shaughnessy is doing this with his new book (published by ). Louis Grenier and Justin Moore | Sponsorship Coach are too (@TiltPublishing ). It's not a new thing... As mentioned in the article when we first started releasing skins, after #E2V1 officially launches we will be cutting back on #LimitedEdition skins & will predominantly focus on unlimited skins. In some cases these future unlimited skins will not be available for resale. This was always the plan as these early #LimitedEdition skins were released especially for early supporters. We will still release #LimitedEditions from time to time, but if & when we do so it will be at higher prices - which has also been mentioned numerous times in the past but I am just providing this as a reminder. Mom here: Sampson’s time in service dog vest has officially come to an end. The process of retirement and transition is complete. Sam must pass a public access test with his training organization Paws Giving Independence yearly to keep his vest privileges. This year we opted out. His last time in vest was the launch of our book “INSISTENT.” Seems fitting. Now he will live his life in leisure snoozling, playing, and eating peanut butter treatos. He still likes to do “tasks” and we’ll let him as long as he wants around the house. For me, the final words, that he’ll no longer have public access or time in vest, and “Happy Retirement Sammie” from PGI was like the final sign off from a working K9. It has had a profound emotional impact on me. My partner will never again be by my side, and I will look to, and rely on Pax Bellator moving forward. We will form a bond that will be immeasurable over time. Sam has earned his time off, Pax has shown he’s up to the task. Now it is my responsibility to switch my mind set and trust in Pax while still loving my Sam-Sam to the fullest and providing him the Best! Retirement! Ever! at home. I’ll continue to share throwback photos of him working - I hope you all will help me embrace this transition in our life and in our future posting. Sampson’s legacy lives on in our book and through our 501(c)(3) Sampson’s Legacy Foundation. His presence gave me a life and changed a world culture for science and service dog handlers. Two years sober today. When every aspect of your life is associated with drinking, meetings, family do’s, holidays, Christmas, even having a baby “wetting the baby head”,Friday’s, the weekends, bank holidays, sunny days, wine with food, beer with football, packet with beer, the list goes on and its seems impossible to cut it out of your life, it just becomes standard behaviour, not doing it literally feels impossible to comprehend. If you can’t moderate when you drink, you run the risk of ruining every memorable moment in life. Life becomes a blurred depressing waiting game between sessions, you wish your weeks away to get to the weekend. Its sad, I was like that for 25 years. Its mad that we get to the point where we think living without alcohol and drugs is impossible, It’s insanity that it was the hardest thing I’ve ever done, now that I'm out of the thick of it It blows my mind that this is our culture. The problem with addiction now is its hidden, our society norms allows for people to live addicted to both drink and drugs without them even knowing, because its completely normally to drink at home all week then have a huge sesh each weekend. Millions of people are literally living in pain without even knowing it. People don’t realise they have an issue until there life starts unraveling like mine did, one day I just found myself unable to chose my family, work or mental health over drinking, rock bottom after rockbottom didn’t wake me up until it hit me like a ton of bricks when it was to late, I’d lost my family, I couldn’t stop using, I was an addict. So many men lose their battle with mental health and end up taking their own lives out of guilt and shame from losing their family or work or doing stupid stuff because of drink, by the time they realised or admitted they had a problem it was to late. The problem with trying to go sober after you lose everything is it feels like there is no reason to any more and drink and drugs is all you have left, then it slowly consumes you. My 2 years is proof to anyone out there struggling that it is possible to change and HAND ON MY HEART if you struggle with an unhealthy relationship with drink and drugs you will be 100 times happier sober, I love life, I'm calm, I have peace, its hard at times but no where near as hard as it was in the chaos of my life. If you are struggling now you have so much to look forward to in sobriety, you will discover a new you, you’ll start liking yourself again, you’ll slowly get happier, stronger and the people around you will say things to you that will fill you with emotion, like “We are so proud of you”. Better home life, relationships, moral compass, work. All greater than I’m sure you could ever have imagined 2 years ago. Two years sober today. When every aspect of your life is associated with drinking, meetings, family do’s, holidays, Christmas, even having a baby “wetting the baby head”,Friday’s, the weekends, bank holidays, sunny days, wine with food, beer with football, packet with beer, the list goes on and its seems impossible to cut it out of your life, it just becomes standard behaviour, not doing it literally feels impossible to comprehend. If you can’t moderate when you drink, you run the risk of ruining every memorable moment in life. Life becomes a blurred depressing waiting game between sessions, you wish your weeks away to get to the weekend. Its sad, I was like that for 25 years. Its mad that we get to the point where we think living without alcohol and drugs is impossible, It’s insanity that it was the hardest thing I’ve ever done, now that I'm out of the thick of it It blows my mind that this is our culture. The problem with addiction now is its hidden, our society norms allows for people to live addicted to both drink and drugs without them even knowing, because its completely normally to drink at home all week then have a huge sesh each weekend. Millions of people are literally living in pain without even knowing it. People don’t realise they have an issue until there life starts unraveling like mine did, one day I just found myself unable to chose my family, work or mental health over drinking, rock bottom after rockbottom didn’t wake me up until it hit me like a ton of bricks when it was to late, I’d lost my family, I couldn’t stop using, I was an addict. So I guess this is it, end of our Bloom family world tour with BINI. It was quite an experience and adventure. We’ve first seen them live in Araneta and attended 2 out of their 3 days concert last Nov. Since then I couldn’t get over how amazing this girls are. Including the pre/post concert experience with some Blooms I met and made friends with. So I told my self I will make sure to watch them again. So here we are we actually haven’t been home yet since LONDON, NY and now MD. I’m pretty sure I will feel all the sore muscles,body, throat all kinds of sore when I get home. We had never done this before so it’s real one for the book. I enjoyed participating in different fan support projects and even did my own. There’s so many things to love about BINI but for me it’s because of who they are as an individual and their authenticity including their kanal humor and their group chemistry.
