It’s taken me a few days to put this week into words because I really just wanted to soak it all in with my family. I’m incredibly grateful to the Chicago White Sox and Chicago Sports Network for trusting me with this opportunity. It was a milestone in my career that I’ll never forget. I’m also grateful for women like Mary Shane and Cheryl Raye Stout, who helped pave the way for women like me. They set the standard and created opportunities I’m incredibly thankful to be a part of. When I was asked to step into the booth, I’d be lying if I said stepping into that role wasn’t a little intimidating. But I kept thinking about Joshua 1:9, a verse my dad has always reminded me of: “Be strong and courageous.” And somehow, it all came full circle. The person who taught me this game was the one handing me my scorecard on the same weekend the White Sox were celebrating his ’83 team. That’s a moment I’ll never forget. If this week taught me anything, it’s that some of the best opportunities are the ones that push you outside your comfort zone. You never really know what you’re capable of until you’re willing to get a little uncomfortable. I hope that’s something people, whether they’re in sports or not, can take with them. Thank you to everyone who watched, reached out, encouraged me, and sent kind messages. They meant more than you know. I love what I do, and I’ll never take opportunities like this for granted. ❤️ #whitesox

Read Caption 💗🥺 ❄️ People always ask me why I skate. I skate because out of every sport I have ever tried, this is the only one that taught me something real. No matter how many times you fall, you have no choice but to get up again. Figure skating found me during a time when I was discovering myself, healing myself, and rebuilding the parts of me I thought were gone. It became something that no one could ever take away from me. I am passionate about this sport because of what it does to my soul. The moment my blades touch the ice, something in me settles. I feel whole. I feel protected. I feel like I have entered a world where nothing can break me. No one can walk into that space and dim my light or tell me I am not enough. On the ice, I define myself. Figure skating is a place where applause comes from every direction, even from within. You clap for your effort, your courage, your growth and even bad days. You get to watch yourself evolve in ways you never imagined. It is mesmerizing to witness how far we can go when we keep moving, when we trust the process, and when we simply skate. When I skate, I am reminded that my journey is mine alone. Every glide is a voice saying I survived. Every spin is a reminder that my spirit still dances. Every fall becomes a lesson in strength, and every landing becomes a quiet celebration. Skating taught me how to breathe again, how to trust again, how to see myself again and how to love the person I am becoming. And that is why I keep going back to the ice, again and again. ❄️ ✨ #figureskating #health #healing #iceskating

I began my art journey in 2002 as a mature student, applying to Leith School of Art for their portfolio preparation year and then to Edinburgh College of Art for the 5 year MA Fine Art program. I was 38 years old at my graduation. My classmates called me 'Grandpa Jones', seriously. 😂 I spent the next 7 years working 3 or 4 jobs/100+ hours a week (waitering, art tutoring, charity director, Airbnb host) so I could pay for my very expensive painting habit and paint enough for an annual solo exhibition (that I had to organise and pay for myself for most of them as no commercial galleries were interested in QR code/AR tech infused paintings)... and every year but one I lost money. I was my accountants biggest loser over and over and over. 😅 So, from 32 to nearly 50 years old with my art career being a horrendous detriment to my financial future I questioned my life decisions... daily. But I never gave up. In fact, it was the opposite. With every rejection letter, with every let down and disappointment, with every financial loss, with every exhibition that didn't sell enough to even cover the costs of paint, canvas and framing, I pushed even harder. I worked even harder. I looked for new ways to differentiate myself from all the other artists around me and I invested everything I had into me and my future. Fortune favours the brave. If you're willing to put in the time, the work and the risk you will be rewarded. It may take 5 years, 10 years, 20 years or more but eventually, if you keep working and taking the risks that the rest are not willing to take (creatively and financially) you will succeed. Don't blame others for your failure. Take the knock backs, take the disappointments, take the rejections, and use them to drive you. If you are willing and able to commit 100% for however long it takes, you will succeed. This is a fact and I'm proof of that. Stop listening to the FUD, stop listening to those who don't believe in you. Show them how wrong they are. Again, it may take years, even decades, but fortune favours the bold and this is undeniable. Will you give up or will you keep pushing, learning, growing, expanding your ideas and your creative output? If you are, I look forward to seeing what you're doing, what you're creating and where you'll be in the next few years and beyond. Comment below and then connect with me in 2 years and tag me. I want to see how many of you will still be here working, grinding and creating art regardless of bear or bull markets. Artwork: EthGirl - Genesis NFT & collab with the great ᗩᒪᎧTTᗩ ᗰᎧᑎEY❂

Mzansi National Importance Please Help. 📍🇿🇦💔 Can someone please send help? I've been employed on and off, trying to make a way for my son and me. I live in a toxic household, where you're the best when you can give money but you're nothing when you don't have anything. I have a deadbeat baby daddy who doesn't support me. I've endured so much for the entirety of my life, but I can't anymore. I wanna get away from this house where people bully me, where I'm isolated, gossiped about. I wanna flee. I feel like ending things. My family has been the root of my pain, towards myself but also my child. tonight we had the biggest fight and they tried to make me seem like I'm a bad mother because I at times keep my son in my bedroom with me, but it's because of how they treat him. The colorist comments, the way they break down his self-esteem calling him "blou ding", "k#ffer", and more. When I told my mother I'll take legal action against them, she told me that the police will see that I'm crazy. She also threatened me by saying she'll take me to court and say I abuse my child!!!! I don't abuse my child I sometimes yell at him out of frustration cause I'll tell him to stay with me but he'll go to them. He's 5 so he obviously doesn't understand why I don't want him around them. I feel embarrassed for having to come to the internet with my problems, especiially since I've always beem taught to hide the ugly but I can't anymore. 😭😭😭 Someone send help. Whether it's a ngo that can help, a job application, a learnership, anything. I just need to get me and my child out of this household. I'm tired. Ek is moeg! 😭😭😭😭😭💔💔💔💔💔💔💔🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾 #help #toxichouseholds #deadbeatdadprob #southafrica

My Uber driver asked what I do for work. Software.... Cool. Can you look at something? He handed me his phone at a red light. Terminal. Claude chat. Green P&L. +$6,200. He drives Uber 4 days a week. Makes $1,100. Has a 2-year-old daughter. Where did you find this? Your article. The 10,000 wallets one. He read it 3 months ago. Did not understand half of it. Asked Claude to explain it like he's five. 214 messages. All during breaks between rides. Parked at gas stations. Waiting for pings. 1st thing Claude told him: 87% of wallets lose money. Do not be the 87%. He installed poly_data. Fed it to Claude. Found 47 wallets with Sharpe above 2.0. Filtered crypto only. Quarter Kelly. $200 starting bankroll. From his tips. 93 messages later Claude helped him build the 20-line brain from the article. Bayesian updates. EV filter at 5%. Fully automated. While dropping off a passenger at JFK. The passenger tipped him $5. The bot made $1,760. His wife found the Telegram alerts on his phone. Thought he was texting another woman. He showed her the P&L curve. Can you make me one? How long until you quit driving? He looked at me through the rearview mirror. I'm not stopping. Uber is my cover story. I wrote the article.
