Haven’t seen such a massive snowfall in a single day. Almost all areas of HP UK and JK are receiving heavy snowfall. Next 6 hours snow and rain warning in HP. There are traffic jams and road closures at various points. Please plan accordingly. 📍Kullu

Japan doesn’t just get snow. It gets buried in it. Every winter, some coastal cities face mountains of snow piling up on roads, around homes, and on rooftops. So where does all that snow go? They literally haul it to the sea, dump it at the port, and use seawater to help melt it away. It sounds crazy — but for cities buried under meters of snow, there may be no better option. And there’s one surprising catch. 👀

One of the popular ski resorts and top tourist destinations in Kashmir, Gulmarg, is facing an unprecedented dry spell this year, looking barren and devoid of any winter snow.

Here's how the GRAF sees the TWO storms hitting the DC region on Tuesday-Wednesday this week. -Has snow starting 12-1pm in DC. -Note temperatures...likely above freezing at onset. We will "lose" some snow initially to ground melt. Recall the January storm, we had VERY cold temperatures leading up to it. Not quite this time. -I still worry the northern end of the I-81 corridor (Winchester up to Hagerstown zone) could underperform due to lighter precip and "mountain dry slotting" you can see this model, like the HRRR, trying to pick up on that a bit. -Snow exits around/after midnight in immediate DC area. We're then dry most of the first half of Wednesday. -Second system approached Wednesday afternoon. This one has much warmer mid-levels, and should be a moderate to heavy rain event for DC. -Cold may lag at the surface west of town. Some freezing rain may mix in, some icing is possible in higher elevations. -Rains will help wash away a lot of Tuesday's snowfall. This snow will NOT last as long as January's did. -Rain exits after midnight, Thursday & Friday are dry.

This is one of the most honest comparisons of the UK 🇬🇧 and Canada 🇨🇦 that I have seen anywhere. If you are in Nigeria considering relocation, or if you are in uk wanting to move to Canada or if you are in Canada wanting to move to uk, Everyone should watch and share this.

We are live right now tracking a monster winter storm slamming the Carolinas and Tennessee. Roads are becoming impassable and heavy snow is intensifying. We are monitoring the dry slot over Raleigh and wind gusts up to 70 mph. Tune into the stream for critical updates.

NEW: Resident in Pennsylvania is reporting “Snow that looks, feels and sounds like styrofoam” He shows you multiple areas of the snow and it’s all the same, this stuff needs to be sent off to be tested One explanation for this is that it could be what called ‘Graupel Snow’ which is both denser and more granular than ordinary snow and looks similar to this but that doesn’t explain the feel of styrofoam being reported or the sound of styrofoam being reported by the resident Graupel Snow is essentially snow hail

We've got 24,000,000 pounds of waste to pick up every day, and, WE ARE DOING IT. Today is Thursday and we are collecting Thursday trash and compost today (though maybe not at the same time that you usually receive collection). Recycling collection may be a little behind. Snow operations continue, too. We continue to plow, haul, and clear snow from all over – and have now melted 215,000,000 pounds of it!

This is what is going on in parts of the UK: full-throated brazen support for terrorist organisations. Tommy Sheridan must face the full force of the law and we have reported him to Police Scotland and stand ready to take action to ensure that the law is enforced, should that be necessary. We are also assessing the liability of the venue that hosted this terrorist supporting lunatic and his whooping crowd of fans. Hizballah operatives have repeatedly targeted the UK. In 2015 a Hizballah bomb factory was found in London. It had manufactured three tonnes of explosives. Right now, men are on trial on charges of belonging to Hizballah and allegedly preparing an act of terrorism in the UK. Hizballah and Hamas are banned under British law. They are sworn to the slaughter of Jews anywhere in the world. Their supporters are criminals under the Terrorism Act 2000, and we will see that they are punished.

The current state of snow removal is unacceptable. While moving mountains of snow takes time, we must do better. This morning, I sent a letter to the City Manager and Auditor General urging improvements to the city's snow plowing and removal policies.

'There's nowhere to put it.' After 6 feet of snow in December, residents of Juneau, Alaska, are struggling to clear snow from their roofs and boats this week before more snow and rain hit.

J&K government excels at announcements but fails on delivery. Jobs are scarce, unemployment is rising, and Kashmir’s farmers are facing an acute water crisis. With inadequate funding for irrigation and PHE infrastructure, coupled with political neglect, have left farms parched and livelihoods under threat. If agriculture is the backbone of Kashmir’s economy, why are its farmers being left dry? Office of Chief Minister, J&K

Canada used to be a leader in peace and diplomacy. Now we are known for selling arms and military tech including to Israel. There is real concern that Cdn arms and parts are being used in the killing of Palestinian civilians. Time to halt the arms sales. Ceasefire Now.

The first meeting of Tyrion Lannister and Jon Snow. Friendly and unfriendly kinda conversation. Tyrion gave him one key advice in the entire show that stood out to me, and maybe to some other people. (referring to Jon snow as the bastard he is). “Never forget who you are, the rest of the world will not. Wear it like amour and it can never be used to hurt you”. 🎬: Game of Thrones ⚔️.
