This is very common in nearly all ASAL areas where most if not all rivers are seasonal. The danger is when it rains upriver and the people downriver have no idea mnashtuka the river is full.

This is serious, hii ikikupata kama umelala hehe

Halafu iingie kwenye uwanja wa mipira miwili..Wewe kwisha.

Aura farming at its finest 🤣

All this water And our governments both national and county have been unable to tap in and ensure the people have water throughout!

It's called 'flash flood' do some reading 📚 and stop portraying your ignorance.

You’ll be surprised to learn that the water shortages occur because some people build dams to supply their own land while cutting off water from reaching downstream areas. So this is a man made issue, not a natural one.

This video has all the hallmarks of abject poverty and poor leadership

Mkumbuke kujuana.. Siri ni numbers. 100 new friends can nail it for you. Cheza chini.

Mambo ya kawaida hii. Happens when upriver kunanyesha but downside hakujanyesha so the water flows. Hakuna cha vacation hapa.

Seasonal rivers . Kwani geography is no longer a part of the national curriculum in Kenya??

Kidepo region also has such in Uganda

In Uganda the river is Called River Karenyang, which goes through to Kainuk in Turkana (Turkwel). Good to have grown through these places.

What keeps the local government from building walls and dikes on the river bed on a dry season for the water to remain clean and reusable ama pesa na kununua tu seedlings za billion's hatuoni

Vile bank account ya freelancer hukuwa…

It's called muserion in pokotland. It clears all the pilled dirt during the dry season!

Only in Africa more like, stop claiming natural things that happen all over Africa if not the planet, I've seen this seasonal rivers in many states in Africa and here you say "ONLY IN KENYA" have some shame guys #FreetheworldfromZionists

Africans will never know about food security. Losing this water every season.

I remember our days in Samburu, mnaenda huko ground, mkirudi mnapatana na river (they called it laga) inabidi mmetegea.

@Kancella_Empire Seasonal rivers behave like that the world over.

@duchessoflelan Got to be North or Central Pokot

Hio si ni seasonal river?

They should build strong pillars at least to create a small dam. Wonderful

Most ASAL River ukua hivi.

This happens all over the world, not unique to Kenya.

Hii ikikupata off guard ni hivo

@till_number Some river dries up during the dry season when the water level goes down, there is nothing spiritual about this

Mvua haijafika hapa lakini mahali maji inatoka kunanyesha

His only job was to film the river, hold the camera still and show the oncoming flow of water. 😞

Lagha

Wakamba na uchawi

Uku ni wapi?

We call it Laga in Turkana land.. it swallows any obstacle in it's natural way. Back in the days it swallowed telcom kenya company truck and buried it kn deep sand.

There must be a Dam somewhere where they shut it off and turn it on, based on one reason or the other
