Ye’s unreleased video game "Only One" was a deeply personal iOS project born from his 2014 ballad of the same name, co-created with Paul McCartney, where he channeled the voice of his late mother, Donda West, speaking to their granddaughter North from beyond. Developed by Los Angeles animation studio Encyclopedia Pictura starting in late 2014 with a 14-person team, it cast players as a winged, angelic Donda navigating ethereal, painterly cloudscapes toward heaven's gates, dodging obstacles while "holding her to the light" in a serene, endless ascent without a "Game Over." Ye first teased it in February 2015 on The Breaktast Club, pitched a prototype to Nintendo's Shigeru Miyamoto at E3 complete with his custom soundtrack-only for Reggie Fils-Aimé to decline due to their packed slate, then debuted a trailer at Yeezy Season 3 in 2016 featuring choral swells and a pegasus-riding Donda gaining wings. Fast forward to now, November 2025, releasing Ye’s unreleased "Only One" game via Web3 would have alot less hurdles than Ye dealt with originally with Encyclopedia Pictura. A golden convergence of cultural resurgence and blockchain maturity, as the crypto market fueled by Bitcoin's surge past $100K and Solana's low-fee scalability craves immersive IP integrations that blend art, spirituality, and finance, allowing Ye to sidestep traditional publishers' gatekeeping while leveraging YZY's $114M market cap for instant global distribution on platforms like Decentraland or Roblox's Web3 layer. Within the YZY Token ecosystem, the game could evolve into a play-to-earn hub where players earn YZY tokens by guiding Donda's angelic ascent through cloud realms, redeemable via Ye Pay for exclusive Yeezy drops or staked for governance votes on future Yeezy collabs, fostering a self-sustaining loop of fan loyalty and tokenized utility that counters centralized de-banking woes. Envision a metaverse extension as "Donda's Eternal Sky," a persistent Solana-powered world where the game's serene, endless flight mechanics expand into communal realms for virtual Yeezy fashion shows, NFT-ified album listening parties, and YZY-backed DAOs for community-driven art curation, intertwining Ye's visionary ethos with decentralized ownership to create a borderless economy where grief transmutes into generational wealth.
