That his moustache steadily disintegrates over the course of the scene only adds to the charm.

Decided to not shave over Chrimbo. Go into school (I'm a teacher!!!) and one of my pupils says 'Like the beard!' Had to massively resist the urge to say '...gives me something to hang on to'

It was amazing The very next day, in my Primary school, everyone- boys and girls- was thrusting their hips and yelling WOOF! 😂😂 The teachers must’ve had a ‘mare. Nowt sexual to us, but we did know it was both very fancy and very hilarious 🤣

When you consider Flash's total screen time, in only two episodes (and only in this one for 2 minutes), it's testament to Rik Mayall's talent that Flash became a legend.

I was looking for something to watch recently! It's been a while since I watched Blackadder. Starting tomorrow. WOOF!

I appreciate his commitment to the role, but will never understand why they didn't just stop the scene, glue his moustache back on properly, and do another take.

I said yesterday Rowan Atkinson is the best Comedian I've seen live, but that's only bc I didn't get to see Rik Mayall live on stage Downunder like Bottom or character skits. Miss you Rik!

He was so hot in this, I still remember feeling that all these years later.

If I remember correctly, most of it or possibly none of this was scripted. Hence the stunned looks, they were genuine. It was Stephen Fry or, Roman Atkinson said I think, it in a documentary on the series
