Nazar is a real thing! A few days ago I uploaded a picture of this car, and just after driving it for 2–3 days, the E20 petrol completely messed up the fuel system. The fuel pump gave up, the tank had to be drained, and now the engine has started misfiring with rough, unusual idling something that never happened before. This is a 1997 inline-4 petrol engine, and it’s the first time I’ve ever seen it behave like this. The older the vehicle, the more severe the impact of E20 seems to be. After 15 years in motorsport and travelling across the Himalayas, I can say this in written. Let winter arrive, and places like Leh, Spiti, and other parts of Himachal will face the real impact. At temperatures touching -30°C in Spiti, even normal petrol used to struggle. We often carried octane boosters to improve cold-weather performance. Petrol was still more reliable than diesel, which could gel in extreme conditions. Now imagine fuel that absorbs moisture. In freezing temperatures, that moisture can freeze, restrict fuel flow, block fuel lines, crack pipes, and prevent ignition altogether. A vehicle can become completely immobile when it’s needed the most. Things to note after landing at NMIA. 1. There is no mobile network currently. But there's access to free WiFi. You can use it to book cabs. And keep Wi-Fi calling option on. Else the cabbie won't be able to call you 2. After exit, you need to go one level down to access public transport options. Chalo buses to Colaba and other places were available right from Day 1. 3. The airport is still pretty much under construction. There's lots of work still pending. I even saw some leaks being plugged. These are teething troubles and should get fixed soon.

Hi FGC friends. I picked up a Brooks Wingman FGC 2 myself from to test some older sticks on PS5 cause of issues using them on PS5 for some games. Did a quick Firmware update through their website here: (Hold the side buttons while plugged into PC and grab the latest update) I then tested all of these myself that didn't work in game for Avatar before that are now working instantly. Hopefully a patch comes out before the event for legacy controllers but I wanted to test this as a backup option while I chat with Brook Converters directly about getting some loaners for pools at the event. So far no issues, timeouts or anything so this may be your a good option for the mean time to use all of your sticks/controllers on PS5 in general. If you're having issues please let me know what controller/stick you're trying to use and I'll see if I have it to try myself. Yes I'm one the greatest TOs of all time that goes through all the details when needed.

The fire on engine #1 was catastrophic.. an uncontained failure that sent debris flying uncontrollably... but the real killer was the immediate compressor stall on #2, visible right here in the footage as that telltale puff of flame. This almost certainly resulted from Foreign Object Debris (FOD) ingestion, where fragments from #1's explosion were sucked into #2's intake, disrupting airflow and surging the compressor blades. Watch the sudden yaw to the left post-stall: that's the asymmetric thrust kicking in, with only engine #3 (tail-mounted) left producing power. For a fully loaded MD-11 like UPS Flight 2976, heavy with cargo and fuel for its route, climbing out on a single engine was impossible.. performance data shows these birds need at least two for safe ascent under max takeoff weight.Pilots did everything by the book; ATC audio suggests they declared emergency instantly. No procedural tweak could've changed this outcome. RIP to the three lost on board, thoughts with the injured ground personnel.

Baby talk vs “parentese” - what’s the difference? Often in my replies I see parents explaining why - as a method of promoting language acquisition - they never use “baby talk.” I generally agree with this sentiment, but there are some important distinctions to be made here. If by “baby talk” you mean using cutesy nonsense words (like wa-wa for water or ba-ba for bottle) you’re on the right track. There’s no need for you to make up incorrect or overly simplified vocabulary on your child’s behalf. Use real words, even if your child isn’t quite ready to do so themself. It’s how they learn. But sometimes I see confusion between “baby talk” and what is known as “motherese” or “parentese” - which isn’t nonsensical, but simply slower and more varied in intonation. On the leg between Guam (PGUM) and Kalaeloa (PHJR) we experienced a fault with one of our 2 AC packs. This left us a single point of failure away from de-pressurization, which would require a descent to an altitude where we could breathe without supplemental O2. Keep in mind, a lower altitude drastically increases fuel consumption. Of course a single pack can maintain cabin pressure all the way up to the aircraft’s service ceiling, but if that pack fails, the aircraft cannot be pressurized. The situation required that Bob Allen & I make a plan as to how to handle the potential loss of our remaining pack. This plan would be dynamic, as the action taken would depend where we were at the time of de-pressurization. Past the ETP (Equal Time Point) turning back to GUM was not an option; and continuing to JRF at a low cabin altitude was ALSO not an option - as we’d be short on fuel. PKMJ was a bit too far south to be of use, but PWAK (Wake Island) and PMDY (Midway) were valid alternates that we could use for diversion and still land with the engines turning. Even though we did have ETOPS planning info on our flight plan, we can’t always rely on it 100% because ferry flying creates some unique challenges due to the fact that we don’t operate the same aircraft all the time, and we have no operational history to set the burn bias. We need to be proactive in the cockpit so on the secondary FPL page of the MCDU, Bob and I played out a few scenarios at different points and compared fuel burns. We decided on a boundary where once crossed, the diversion alternate switched from WAK to MDY. In either case - we’d land with fuel, but it would be pretty minimal. Passing 170W would be the most critical point. The options would be MDY or LIH from there and both would land with under 800 KG of fuel. Because that didn’t inspire much confidence, we took some additional measures and brought 2 POBs (portable O2 bottles) up to the flight deck. This way, we’d have both the crew O2 from the pressure demand bottle (about 30-40 mins estimated) plus the O2 from POBs available to remain a bit higher longer in the event of a depress. Staying higher meant saving fuel and having more options - always a good thing. Anyway, the operational pack remained working, and we were able to get the aircraft to JRF before getting the bad pack back online for the next leg - so crisis averted, but the moral of the story is: you always need to have a plan! Especially when flying over remote areas of the planet..
