this is so sweet 👤 when i listen to seventeen’s music, i know that there’s almost no songs about breaking up or that kind of vibe. even if it’s a song about love, it’s like “i’m cheering on for your love” or “i’m cheering on for your youth” and if there’s a subject to the love, it’s “you’re really pretty” or “what can i do to adore you even more?” there are many of your songs expressed in this way and that kind of direction is so cool and admirable. i hope that you continue to be artists who can shine a beautiful light on many people and let us hear those kinds of songs often 🍑 thank you. i’m so touched seriously

When it happened to me, my first thought was about young girls facing this same trauma in the locker room. Now you can hear it from a young girl herself—she’s the one who took the video I posted yesterday of that man in the locker room. This is a dangerous situation, and we need to keep girls safe. I had an extra 20 minutes that I didn’t know about last week and came up with this on the spot. Took no plan time and materials I already had. And the best part, my students who are learning English and my disabled students could all participate. I almost wish I kept the original audio in so you could hear how hard they were all laughing. It was the perfect way to build a classroom culture of enjoying each other and being able to make mistakes/laugh at yourself. Please steal this activity for yourself!”

If auto manufacturers were paying attention, they'd realize there's a whole crowd of us who miss those square-body trucks from the '70s and early '80s. No unnecessary curves, no overcomplicated tech-just solid steel, clean lines, and a look that meant business. Those trucks had personality. You could spot one from a mile away and know exactly what it was. Today, everything looks like it rolled off the same assembly line with a slightly different grille. I know I'd be first in line. So in between the daily everyday tasks and “please find attached for your action emails,” 😃…we got some time as a team to show our talent (or not 😃) and had a great time creating a song that celebrates our Live Y’ello values, the glue that binds everyday…and the way we have committed to lead and treat each other. This moment was a complete mixture of joy and sorrow at the same time. Joy that I get to hear my daughter laugh when I rarely get to hear that sound. Happiness that I can make her react that way and that something is audibly coming out of it. For kids with trachs, their vocal cords are bypassed, which means that we don’t get to hear Payton speak. The only way we can make that happen is by her being on her speaking valve, but it can be a bit for her to tolerate as it causes a different pressure on her lungs. And yet, sorrow because this isn’t a part of our normal routine. We don’t get to hear her laugh regularly, even though she’s one of the most joy-filled children you will ever meet. I feel robbed at times. And those emotions can hit like a tidal wave without warning, like they did here. And I think that’s all ok. It’s ok to feel both sorrow and joy simultaneously. It’s okay to be happy about what’s currently happening, but also feeling sad about the way things are and the normal things that you get to miss out on. Life’s complex raising a medically-complex child. And that means that complex emotions can exist in a singular moment.

Thanks everyone 😃 Fun Fact: I recorded the voice over first because I assumed my usb c port would be temporarily out of commission from getting wet. The underwater shot was recorded with my iPhone but the phone was partially exposed to air so I could still use my Apple Watch as a monitor to line up the shot. A lot of soul, pole, and hole goes into making these videos. Even though they just seem silly. The goal is to make something you have never seen before. Maybe take your mind off something bad going on in the world, even if it’s just for a minute.

Carlos doesn’t think ending up in the point zone is a relief, since those 70 laps asked to manage where frustrating “So is not a relief to ending up in points?” No, ok well after yesterday, starting from p16 and they tell you “hey you are gonna climb up to p10” you take it, because as tight as the midfield is climbing up is really hard and I was one of the few who started from he back and ended up climbing up, but after those 70 laps that I made the whole race without pushing, is a lot of frustrating laps. I believe we could have ended in front, at least in front of Ocon if they had let me push, but not even that. That sums up the season, 10 races where we have not done a complete good weekend, besides Jeddah. We could have done better today.
