According to BBC Hausa, bandits under the leadership of Kachallah Dan-Sadiya kidnapped 2 staff and 7 students (one later escaped) from Federal Poly Kauran Namoda in Zamfara. They have been in captivity for over 2 months. They extorted N10m from the first lecturer and N12m from the second. They refused to release them and demanded N150m.
