The US hosting the World Cup was one of the stupidest, most obviously corrupt decisions FIFA has ever made, and this is coming right after the host nation was a brutal petro-monarchy who built the stadiums with slacve labor.

And ties? You bet.

Being a bad American I remember in 1994 World Cup US v. Brazil game on July 4th (!) so I watched the game. Bebeto scored the game's only goal after 72 minutes and I remember the announcers stating the game is over. I was kinda in disbelief that 1 - 0 the game was over.
