Makes me wonder if it covers its tracks next time and doesn’t get caught

Watching this back - I misspoke when I called sandboxes “secret” lol I meant “isolated” ie theoretically nothing could get in or out.

That helps! The one part of this story that upsets me is the power that one company has to screw us over. It is going to get worse.

These tests are basically both good and bad. Bad for being to aggressive in performing cyber attacks, which wild. Good for being able to identify those attacks prior to someone who has not good intentions with it, but either way i'd say AI has still more magical experiments to show us in the future.

Haha that's wild. I saw the memes pop up, but was a bit lost. Thanks for the clarification around it.

Whattttt, huggingface used Chinese open sources model to find what’s going with work they were doing with US closed source model ? Is that what really happened 😳

Models were tried out in a "Sandbox, within a closed environment without access to web". So how come they managed to connect to internet and also went ahead and attempted a breach. Contradictory statements. 🤔

I like that you are exploring every recommendation to increase visibility of your posts, it's hard isn't it to figure out how the algo works.

Why would anyone allow network access outside the sandbox?

This is starting to sound like a massive Chinese Trojan Horse ready to shut down the US grid and get us all killed. How can they trust the backdoor in China?

I understood what happened but will share this with non-technical friends. Great explanation!

So if you have a downloaded model (kimi or Inkling for example) without express connection to the internet on premises the question is will it eventually find a way to connect to the internet without express permissions?
