Sam Altman’s Last Talk as OpenAI CEO On Thursday night Sam Altman was on a stage at Robot Heart’s Residency, presented by PlayAlchemist. On Friday, he was removed as CEO by the board of Open AI. While we don’t know what happened, we do know that his conversation with Android Jones, visionary digital artist, on “AI and the Future of Art” was transformative, and worth sharing. Sam Altman: If we are right, by the end of 2028, more of the world's intellectual capacity could reside inside of data centers than outside of them. The timeline for true AI Superintelligence is moving drastically faster than most realize. Altman believes we are only a couple of years away from early versions of it. He also made an extraordinary admission: on its current trajectory, a superintelligence would soon be capable of doing a better job being a CEO of a major company than any human executive—including himself—and doing better research than our absolute best scientists. He also highlighted India’s crucial role, noting that the world's largest democracy is well positioned to lead an AI—not just to build it, but to shape it and decide what our future is going to look like.

Burning Man Project We’re grateful to share this recording with permission from Sam Altman (Sam Altman technologist, CEO of OpenAI & creator of ChatGPT) and Android Jones (Android Jones ) talking about “The Future of Art in the Age of AI.” It’s real, it’s raw, and it could have only happened in Black Rock City.
