Fable is really good at launch videos It essentially one-shotted this video. I told it to read my launch post and create a launch video. That's it. It ran for 46 minutes (without asking me any questions), found all the product logos, and spit this out. I then asked it to add music, so it logged into my ElevenLabs account within my Chrome, generated the music, and mixed it in. Wild.

OpenAI just launched Operator. This got me thinking about the potential impact of AI agents on how buyers will discover domain names in the future, so I decided to give Operator a test run. For the longest time, I declined to participate in AI. I created OpenAI essentially as a counterweight to Google because, at the time, they were more or less a monopoly on AI. Then Anthropic spun out of OpenAI. If anything, it seems like my actions have really accelerated AI. I wasn’t aiming to accelerate AI, but creating OpenAI, and then having Anthropic spin out of it, resulted in knock-on effects that accelerated AI, which wasn’t really my intention. It just seems like all roads lead to the acceleration of AI. So then I’m like, okay, you can either be sad about it or join the club.”

Testing the next feature coming from Runway and it’s wild. You’ll soon be able to create just by chatting. One of the most impressive things I’ve seen is that it can now do stuff that even ChatGPT can’t. In this test, I asked it to add fur to objects that normally don’t have any...and boom, it generated a whole series of fuzzy creations. Then I gave it a character reference and asked for him to be playing the piano. It made mistakes at first, but kept correcting itself until it nailed the shot. Finally, I asked for a video based on the image... and it delivered again. The ability to iterate and evolve your vision in real-time is just incredible. Still makes mistakes and it can be much improved, but a massive shoutout to the team at Runway , this is next level.

I asked jason (DevEx at OpenAI): “What’s the craziest thing Codex did for you?” Here’s his answer: “I was on a bike ride when a coworker asked me to fix a launch video. So I connected remotely from my phone and asked Codex to use computer use to edit the video, export it, and post it back to Slack. Twenty minutes later, there was a new video in the Slack thread. Then I told Codex: ‘Every 30 minutes, check the thread for feedback and export V2, V3, V4.’ By the time I got home, the launch video was greenlit.” Codex had handled the revisions by repeatedly checking Slack for feedback. 📌 Watch the full episode here:

AI music is cooking. Here is the latest from Aimi. It is aimed more toward developers and music professionals than, say, Suno or udio. Check out the demo, which starts about 33 minutes into this interview with founder Edward Balassanian. In it he shows that you can import a video that has no audio and it makes both a voice over and the music to match the content. This leads to very personalized video. If you are in India, you might get a bollywood track, all aligned to the video. In US a viewer might get served with something closer to the Rolling Stones. This is a huge trend that's just starting. Hollywood is funding another company, Corto AI, that will do this for movies and already is doing similar for advertisers (it launches next year). Just mind blowing stuff that makes creating videos with music backgrounds so much easier.
