#ISPR General Syed Asim Munir, NI(M), Chief of Army Staff (#COAS) is on an official visit to the Federal Republic of #Germany DG ISPR #PakistanArmy #Pakistan During the visit he was received at the Federal Ministry of Defence by General Carsten Breuer, Chief of Defence where he was presented with Honour Guard by the contingent of German Armed Forces. Chief of Army Staff also met Lieutenant General Alfons Mais, Chief of the German Army and visited the Army Combat Training Centre, Gardelegen along with the German Army Chief. The COAS was briefed on various facets of the centre and the training being imparted to the German Army and contingents of other Armies. He also witnessed a demonstration on urban warfare and visited different training facilities. During meetings with the civilian and military leadership matters of mutual interest came under discussion. German leadership acknowledged Pakistan Army’s role in fight against Terrorism and for maintaining peace and stability in the region. COAS will also be visiting the German Armed Forces Command & Staff College, Hamburg where he will address the students attending the course from various countries to dilate upon Pakistan’s Regional and International Security Perspective and contributions of Pakistan Armed Forces in the United Nations Missions.

7th Pakistan Army Team Spirit (PATS) Exercise-2024 #ISPR 7th Pakistan Army Team Spirit (PATS) Exercise-2024 was concluded at Kharian Garrison with an impressive Closing Ceremony. General Syed Asim Munir, NI (M), Chief of Army Staff (COAS) graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. The 60 hours rigorous “Patrolling Exercise” aimed at enhancing combat skills through sharing of innovative ideas and experiences by the participants of the forum. Seven teams from Pakistan Army and fifteen teams from friendly countries including Bahrain, Jordan, Kazakhstan, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Maldives, Morocco, Qatar, United States of America, Uzbekistan, Srilanka, Thailand and Turkiye participated in the exercise. Azerbaijan, China, Germany, Indonesia, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and Myanmar witnessed the exercise as observers. The exercise was conducted from 25-27 Feb 2024 in the semi mountainous terrain of Punjab. Over the years, the exercise has gained much prominence as a very competitive professional military activity for the friendly countries. While addressing the ceremony, COAS appreciated the participating teams for their professionalism, physical & mental endurance and high morale displayed during various stages of the exercise. COAS reiterated mutual learning during such exercises and highlighted that PATS is the right forum, which appropriately combines professional military skills and tactical acumen of all participating soldiers fostering much needed team spirit in the face of evolving character of war. To this effect, Pakistan Army upholds rich soldierly attributes of ”character, courage and competence which have amply been displayed by our men in the face of fight against terrorism”. At the end, COAS gave away individual and team awards to the participants of the exercise. #ISPR Rawalpindi, 11 November, 2025 Closing Ceremony of 45th #Pakistan Army Rifle Association (PARA) Central Meet was held at Army Marksmanship Unit (AMU), Jhelum. Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, NI (M), HJ, Chief of Army Staff (#COAS), graced the occasion as Chief Guest. The 45th PARA Central Meet 2025 was conducted from 01 October to 10 November 2025. Over 2000 participants from Pakistan Army, Air Force, Navy, Civil Armed Forces, Punjab, Sindh, KPK, Balochistan and Federal Rifle Associations displayed their shooting skills with full zeal and enthusiasm. Pak Army won the 3rd Inter Services Combat Shooting Championship 2025 by winning all Four Inter Services Matches. Punjab Regiment won The Unit Firing Proficiency Match Group-I. Sepoy Muhammad Irfan of Punjab Regiment won the title of The Master at Arms. Naib Subedar Umar Farooq of Army Marksmanship Unit won The Army Hundred Rifle Match Trophy. The COAS, while interacting with the participants, commended their outstanding marksmanship and emphasized that “mastery in shooting must remain a core objective of military training.” Later, the COAS also attended the centenary celebrations of Military College Jhelum (MCJ) as Chief Guest. COAS inaugurated the Centenary Monument and College Museum*, honoring a century of excellence and preserving the institution’s rich heritage. He lauded the institution’s role in nurturing leadership, discipline, and patriotism, commending Alamgirians’ contributions to Pakistan and its Armed Forces. ISPR Passing Out parade of cadets of 147th PMA Long Course, 13th Mujahid Course, 66th Integrated Course, 6th Basic Military Training Course and 21st Lady Cadet Course was held at #Pakistan Military Academy (PMA) Kakul today. General Syed Asim Munir, Chief of Army Staff (COAS), was the chief guest on the occasion. Cadets from Palestine, Bahrain, Iraq, Qatar and Sri Lanka were also among the passed out cadets. The coveted Sword of Honour was awarded to Academy Senior Under Officer Abdullah Bin Tariq and President's Gold medal to Battalion Senior Under Officer Ali Amir of 147th PMA Long Course. The Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee Overseas Gold Medal was awarded to Battalion Sports Sergeant Pasindu Dayananda from Sri Lanka. The COAS Cane was awarded to Course Under Officer Muhammad Adnan Munawar of 13th Mujahid Course, The Commandant's Canes were awarded to Course Under Officer Adil Ali of 66th Integrated Course, Course Sergeant Major Fatima Khalid of 21st Lady Cadet Course and Course Under Officer Salman Khan of 6th Basic Military Training Course. The COAS congratulated the passing out cadets and their parents on the successful completion of their training at PMA; the premier training institution. #ISPR Rawalpindi, 10 February, 2026 The 9th International #Pakistan Army Team Spirit (PATS) Competition successfully concluded at Kharian on 9 February 2026. The closing ceremony was graced by the Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, NI (M), HJ, #COAS & CDF, as the Chief Guest. The Team Spirit Competition is a 60-hour long patrolling exercise, designed to enhance professional military skills through the exchange of innovative ideas, tactical experiences and best practices among participating teams. Conducted from 5 February 2026 onwards, the exercise took place in the semi-mountainous terrain of Punjab, Pakistan, providing a realistic and challenging operational environment. Over the years, PATS has evolved into a prestigious and highly competitive military exercise, recognized for promoting professional excellence and mutual learning among participating nations. The forum continues to strengthen military-to-military cooperation and understanding, while fostering camaraderie and team spirit in a demanding operational setting. This year the competition featured wide ranging participation from 19 countries including Bahrain, Bangladesh, Belarus, Egypt, Iraq, Jordan, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Malaysia, Maldives, Morocco, Nepal, Qatar, Sri Lanka, Turkiye, United States of America and Uzbekistan. Indonesia, Myanmar and Thailand attended the exercise as observers. 16 domestic teams from the Pakistan Army and Pakistan Navy, along with observers from the Pakistan Air Force also participated in the event. Addressing the closing ceremony, the COAS & CDF commended all participating teams for their exceptional professionalism, physical and mental endurance, operational competence and high morale displayed during the exercise. He emphasized the importance of such multinational engagements in enhancing collective preparedness and adapting to the evolving character of modern warfare. Reaffirming the core values of the Pakistan Army, the COAS & CDF underscored the enduring soldiery attributes of “character, courage and competence”, which have been consistently demonstrated by Pakistani soldiers, particularly in the ongoing fight against terrorism. Towards the culmination, the COAS & CDF presented awards to the outstanding participants of the competition. International observers and Defence Attachés from participating countries also attended the event and expressed appreciation for high standard of professionalism, organization and conduct demonstrated throughout the exercise COAS & CDF also witnessed miscellaneous training activities at National Counter Terrorism Centre Pabbi including a visit to newly established Tactical Simulator. COAS & CDF lauded the efforts of troops and technical team and emphasised the importance of simulator-based training to complement traditional training methods.
