Thoughts on the morning drive! My office nailed the FBI’s most wanted child pornographer right here in North Alabama! I told you that the folks I work with are amazing and really good at what they do at the Office of the US Attorney for the Northern District of Alabama. Well, here’s another example: William Michael Spearman was a sick individual who ran the worlds largest child porn network on the dark web. It was international in scope. It’s very likely that thousands, maybe tens of thousands, of innocent children were victims of the filth that he coordinated on his network. He ran employees, gave directions, promoted and perpetrated child exploitation in such a size and scope that he became the FBI’s most wanted child pornographer! And he lived and worked in Madison, Alabama! My office secured the warrants that led to the FBI conducting a no-knock raid on his house and seizing his servers and taking him into custody. My office also worked the detention hearings. He was tried and convicted in another district and received a life sentence. He is now off the streets, and off the web. We may never know how many victims there were. But my office helped to get that massive child porn ring shut down….right here in North Alabama. More of that please! Thoughts on the morning drive.
