#WATCH | A civil defence mock drill was conducted across Aizawl, #Mizoram on Wednesday, as per the directives of the Ministry of Home Affairs. The full-scale exercise involved coordination between local police, fire services, and disaster response teams. The drill included the activation of air raid sirens at 6:30 pm to simulate an incoming air raid, with another activation at 6:35 pm to mark the conclusion of the exercise. A 5-minute power blackout was observed in Aizawl following the siren. Recorded this today around 7 pm (19/05/2026) in and around Sector 50 & Nirvana Country, Gurugram, extending toward Sector 65. After noticing very poor air conditions, I drove roughly 1.5 km through the area for a wider check. What I saw on ground is hard to process. The worst conditions were concentrated around Sector 65, blanketed in dust - multiple active construction sites and large projects with effectively zero dust control measures. Along with this, broken and unpaved stretches and constant movement of vehicles over loose soil are creating continuous dust clouds. In several areas visibility dropped so badly that cars were using fog lights in broad daylight. Respected Commission for Air Quality Management ,Central Pollution Control Board and HSPCB GURUGRAM NORTH kindly note this is not normal dust or routine construction impact. It is uncontrolled dust pollution in a densely populated residential belt. The dust clouds are enveloping our areas. Neither the project proponents nor the public land-owning / road maintenance authorities appear to be making any effort to contain this massive dust generation, nor are they complying with basic construction dust containment guidelines (NGT norms). This is especially severe around Sector 65, directly impacting facing sectors like 49,50,51, 64, 67 and also worsened by dug-up stretches along GCER, turning the entire belt into a continuous dust zone. This is directly affecting residents and school-going children along these roads. 7 prominent schools in and around these sectors ! With GRAP Stage 1 now imposed by the Commission for Air Quality Management, enforcement is supposed to be stricter. But what is visible on ground is clear non-compliance. This needs immediate inspection and strict enforcement. Stop Work Where Norms Are Being Violated . Every year they are dying because they are electrocuted in flooded waters, traffic has come to a standstill...Tell me who wants to invest in India if this is the state of its smart cities. Do we not have solutions...This repeats year after year...The apathy is galling. What is worse is that we, as citizens, raise these issues but no one cares...Why should it take some of our brightest engineers so long to fix drainage and sewage? 1) Rampant corruption in granting building licenses. 2) They are being given licenses at will. 3) There is no accountability...It is an absolute shame...What kind of Brand India are we building?...The people don't matter anymore. These include the Town Clerk, the Chief Finance Officer, the District Land Officer, Mr. Kananura, and the Forest Officer. The District Health Officer, who is alleged to have stolen hospital equipment, will also be formally charged before the Anti-Corruption Court. All the officers mentioned will be interdicted, and new officers will be deployed to the district to pave the way for a transparent, impartial, and expeditious investigation. The Chief Administrative Officer will also be recalled to headquarters. I extend my sincere appreciation to the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP), the State House Anti-Corruption Unit, State House Legal, the Ministry of Works technical team, the Criminal Investigations Directorate (CID), the Internal Security Organisation (ISO), the Office of the President, Crime Intelligence, the Uganda People’s Defence Forces (UPDF), and all the leaders and stakeholders participating in the Expose the Corruption mission. I have had the privilege of heading this tripartite department, which focuses not only on law but also on RTI and human rights. A few months ago, we had a very successful all-India-level meeting at the Vigyan Bhawan, where we tried to bring people from all corners of India. Carrying forward from there: 👉 The first facet we discussed today, in line with Shri Rahul Gandhi's great initiative to revitalise district units, is that we are now making, reconstituting, operationalising, identifying, and listing for each administrative district of India a team of at least 5 senior persons from these three subjects. They will be our eyes and ears on the ground, including coordinators, actors, and movers. And this will be put together in a final list for all of India after being addressed for each district and will be done by the state chairman in consultation with us, and where there are no state chairpersons, through the nominees at the central level. 👉 The second facet we discussed is the operationalising of a Rapid Response Force, the RRF, at the state level, having a minimum of 5 senior people who can take up cudgels on behalf of the Congress party in legal matters in the court - to argue, seek relief and get things moving inside the court. We have given it a 4-6 week timeline. 👉 The third facet is the building of a directory an all-India directory, searchable both by state as well as by alphabetical name across all these categories of all those involved in our department. Again, we have given this a 4-6 week timeline. 👉 The fifth and the last important facet is to try and involve youngsters, possibly between the ages 21 and 30, who want to be associated with the Congress and legal professionals - including RTI and human rights professionals. They will be tied up in an internship programme with our 127 MPs in the first phase on the said three subjects with the Congress approach, with the Congress ecosystem. They are not necessarily required to be part of the Congress as of now. If this works well, then we will also expand it to each MLA in each assembly-level position. I am thankful to all the people who attended the meeting. We had representatives from across India. #WATCH | On the morning of May 10, even as we were gathering to war-game the events of the previous night, a routine exercise, I received a message on the hotline from my counterpart in Pakistan, seeking my willingness to communicate. Since our initial aim was to strike at terror camps, and all our subsequent actions were in response to the intrusions and violations by the Pakistan Air Force and its army, it was decided that I would indeed speak with my counterpart. As you are already aware, I have seen it covered on national television. My communication with the Pakistani DGMO was conducted at 15:35 hours yesterday and resulted in the cessation of cross-border firing and air intrusions by either side, with effect from 17:00 hours on May 10, after he proposed that we cease hostilities. We also agreed to speak again on May 12, that is tomorrow, at 12:00 hours, to discuss modalities that would ensure the longevity of this understanding. However, disappointingly and, I must add, expectedly, it took only a few hours for the Pakistan Army to violate these arrangements through cross-border and Line of Control firing, followed by drone intrusions across the expanse of the Western Front during the last night and into the early hours of this morning. These violations were met with robust responses and dealt with as they must be. #WATCH | On the morning of May 10, even as we were gathering to war-game the events of the previous night, a routine exercise, I received a message on the hotline from my counterpart in Pakistan, seeking my willingness to communicate. Since our initial aim was to strike at terror camps, and all our subsequent actions were in response to the intrusions and violations by the Pakistan Air Force and its army, it was decided that I would indeed speak with my counterpart. As you are already aware, I have seen it covered on national television. My communication with the Pakistani DGMO was conducted at 15:35 hours yesterday and resulted in the cessation of cross-border firing and air intrusions by either side, with effect from 17:00 hours on May 10, after he proposed that we cease hostilities. We also agreed to speak again on May 12, that is tomorrow, at 12:00 hours, to discuss modalities that would ensure the longevity of this understanding. However, disappointingly and, I must add, expectedly, it took only a few hours for the Pakistan Army to violate these arrangements through cross-border and Line of Control firing, followed by drone intrusions across the expanse of the Western Front during the last night and into the early hours of this morning. These violations were met with robust responses and dealt with as they must be. Information about tomorrow's launch of the #FM26 3d stadium megapack! First off, really freaking hyped for it, but it is also making me a bit nervous! Been a month in the making now and super cool to see it rolled out and well over beta, but for everyone is really different! Well, this post will contain info on how I roll it out tomorrow. Release time: So I have made the decision to launch the megapack at around 12:00 tomorrow Central European Time. Gives me a bit of time to get up, do final checks and that. Support: I will be streaming for the hours following on from that with the stream starting at about 11:30. I'll be there, probably making stadiums and providing support. I will also release a simultaneous video at 12:00 on my own YouTube channel. In that I will go over the process of installation, some customization you can have and how to do them, as well as chat about current challenges and planned features. Features: The pack features an initial 120 stadiums from (mostly) the top 5 European Leagues. Furthermore, there will be certain stadiums from South America in it for the first version. For more information, consult the google sheet in the follow up post below. It contains a custom made crowd system which has seen a significant performance boost causing nearly no stutters or lag, even on older hardware. The animations might look janky, but they will be worked on during post release support and updates. Bugs: Considering my level and skill in programming, it was only going to be natural that bugs would happen. I have not received any mention of either game breaking, save corrupting or other catastrophic errors. The bugs are relatively minor such as the position of the ball not always aligning or the referee and linesmen disappearing for some reason. Just like the animations of crowds, they will be ironed out over time. If you come across a bug, feel free to let me know, but do so respectfully please :D I also need to stress again, that it will not work on macbooks with apple silicon, and steam deck is still experimental. Lastly, this has been a mammoth effort, but could not have been done without the support from everyone who has been involved. A special economic zone will be established with preferred tariff and access rates to be negotiated with participating countries. 12. No one will be forced to leave Gaza, and those who wish to leave will be free to do so and free to return. We will encourage people to stay and offer them the opportunity to build a better Gaza. 13. Hamas and other factions agree to not have any role in the governance of Gaza, directly, indirectly, or in any form. All military, terror, and offensive infrastructure, including tunnels and weapon production facilities, will be destroyed and not rebuilt. There will be a process of demilitarization of Gaza under the supervision of independent monitors, which will include placing weapons permanently beyond use through an agreed process of decommissioning, and supported by an internationally funded buy back and reintegration program all verified by the independent monitors. New Gaza will be fully committed to building a prosperous economy and to peaceful coexistence with their neighbors. 14. A guarantee will be provided by regional partners to ensure that Hamas, and the factions, comply with their obligations and that New Gaza poses no threat to its neighbors or its people. 15. The United States will work with Arab and international partners to develop a temporary International Stabilization Force (ISF) to immediately deploy in Gaza. The ISF will train and provide support to vetted Palestinian police forces in Gaza, and will consult with Jordan and Egypt who have extensive experience in this field. This force will be the long-term internal security solution. The ISF will work with Israel and Egypt to help secure border areas, along with newly trained Palestinian police forces. It is critical to prevent munitions from entering Gaza and to facilitate the rapid and secure flow of goods to rebuild and revitalize Gaza. A deconfliction mechanism will be agreed upon by the parties. 16. Israel will not occupy or annex Gaza. If we want to protect Ukraine, we need something thats sustainable. Enter Gravehawk: A Game-Changing, Affordable Solution Purpose-Built for Ukraine. The British-developed Gravehawk air defence system which is quite literally 1,100 times cheaper that a Patriot air defence system. These missiles are short-range, infrared-guided, and capable of taking down fighter jets, helicopters, drones, and even low-flying cruise missiles. When combined with the Gravehawk’s modern sensors and ground-based launch systems, they become a potent tool for defending Ukrainian cities and front lines whilst making easy work of incoming Shahed drones. But perhaps the most critical advantage is cost. Each Gravehawk system per-unit cost of approximately £933,333, a fraction of the price of most NATO-standard systems and under 1 Million pounds, which in military defence terms is next to nothing. To put this in perspective: one Patriot battery costs upwards of $1.1 billion, 1,100 times more expensive, with each launcher and radar component adding millions more on top of this cost. An air defence system in which we could purchase more than 1,100 of for the same price as 1 Patriot system... It's insanity for the Patriot to be one of the main considerations. If the UK and its allies are serious about helping Ukraine build an integrated air defence shield, then scaling up Gravehawk deployment should be a top priority in line with other western air defence systems available. This is the fastest and cheapest route to widespread air defence coverage, not only to protect lives today but to lay the groundwork for a secure and sovereign Ukraine in the years ahead.
