Russia just made India an offer it has never made anyone else 🇮🇳🇷🇺 Co-development of the S-500, its most advanced air defence system, built directly into Project Sudarshan Chakra. The S-400 already proved itself in Operation Sindoor, intercepting Pakistani missiles and drones at ranges beyond 300 km. The S-500 goes further. It's built to take down hypersonic missiles and satellites in low orbit, a capability China and Pakistan don't have an answer for. For Russia, this isn't just an arms sale. Locked out of Western markets by sanctions, Moscow needs India as a manufacturing and export partner just as much as India needs the technology. If this deal goes through, India won't just be buying the S-500. It'll be co-owning it, building it, and eventually exporting it, the same script that turned the Su-30 and BrahMos into Indian platforms wearing a Russian label. Sanctions were supposed to isolate Russia. Instead, they may end up making India its most important defence partner.

This operation against terrorism was also the display of India's willpower and military power & capability. We have shown that whenever India will take any action against terrorism, even the land beyond border won't be safe for terrorists and their leaders. Indian armed forces launched Operatoon Sindoor to demolish terrorist infrastructure in Pakistan. We never targeted their civilians. But Pakistan not only targeted civilian areas in India but also attempted to attack temples, gurdwaras and churches. With valour and bravery, Indian armed forces displayed restraint and gave a befitting reply by targeting other locations in Pakistan. We not only targeted military bases near the border but the reverberation of Indian armed forces was heard even in Rawalpindi where the HQ of Pakistani Army is located. After Uri incident, the entire world saw what is the result of carrying terrorist attacks in India, when our armed forces entered Pakistan and carried out surgical strike. They saw it after Pulwama, when Balakot airstrike was done. After Pahalgam incident, the world is watching when India entered Pakistan and carried out multiple strikes. The might of our #Brahmos speaks commendably of our indigenous production of defence equipment. Our Akash missile protected our Akash. The world came to realize, Bharat always stood for peace, harmony, but would not spare the terrorists. But what is more remarkable is that India's culture all through has been that issues have to be determined by diplomacy and dialogue. There is no room for terrorism in the world. We have advocated throughout zero tolerance for terrorism. Atal Bihari Vajpayee ji once said, “We have to live with our neighbors. We can't choose them,” but sometimes, and this has been demonstrated in recent times, tough actions are needed. In 2014, after PM Narendra Modi came to lead the country and with the painstaking efforts of then defence minister Manohar Parrikar, HAL was given financial support and administrative encouragement to restart the indigenous trainer jet manufacturing programme... HTT 40 is a symbol of how India has travelled from scandal to self-reliance, from foreign dependency to Aatm Nirbharta, from not trusting our institutions and engineers to manufacturing state-of-the-art aircraft that are second to none in the world... The HJT aircraft, which is the intermediate jet trainer produced by HAL, is an aircraft with great potential to be made into a low-cost combat aircraft, especially to cater to the defence needs of the Global South.
