#WATCH | Defence Minister Rajnath Singh says, "...The anti-India & terror organisations which attacked the crown of Bharat Mata (Kashmir) and erased the 'sindoor' from several families, Indian armed forces got justice for them through #OperationSindoor. So, the entire country is expressing gratitude to the Indian armed forces. Operation Sindoor is not just a military operation but also the symbol of India's political, social and strategic willpower. This operation against terrorism was also the display of India's willpower and military power & capability. We have shown that whenever India will take any action against terrorism, even the land beyond border won't be safe for terrorists and their leaders. Indian armed forces launched Operatoon Sindoor to demolish terrorist infrastructure in Pakistan. We never targeted their civilians. But Pakistan not only targeted civilian areas in India but also attempted to attack temples, gurdwaras and churches. With valour and bravery, Indian armed forces displayed restraint and gave a befitting reply by targeting other locations in Pakistan. We not only targeted military bases near the border but the reverberation of Indian armed forces was heard even in Rawalpindi where the HQ of Pakistani Army is located. After Uri incident, the entire world saw what is the result of carrying terrorist attacks in India, when our armed forces entered Pakistan and carried out surgical strike. They saw it after Pulwama, when Balakot airstrike was done. After Pahalgam incident, the world is watching when India entered Pakistan and carried out multiple strikes. Following the path of zero tolerance against terrorism, our PM Narendra Modi has made it clear that it is 'Naya Bharat' which will take effective steps against terrorism on both sides of the border. Our PM has made this very clear."

I would like to congratulate our defence forces led by the CDS and the visionary leadership of the Prime Minister for the very successful #OperationSindoor, which continues. 22nd April was a day when India’s soul was challenged. #Bharat has always stood for inclusivity, that was sought to be shredded and trashed by the perpetrators of crime, the terrorists from across the border. The might of our #Brahmos speaks commendably of our indigenous production of defence equipment. Our Akash missile protected our Akash. The world came to realize, Bharat always stood for peace, harmony, but would not spare the terrorists. But what is more remarkable is that India's culture all through has been that issues have to be determined by diplomacy and dialogue. There is no room for terrorism in the world. We have advocated throughout zero tolerance for terrorism. Atal Bihari Vajpayee ji once said, “We have to live with our neighbors. We can't choose them,” but sometimes, and this has been demonstrated in recent times, tough actions are needed. The world is stunned that our calibration was precise, penetrating, definitive, crossing international border, deep into the heart of that country and only terrorist hideouts were devastated. No one is asking for proof. The coffins were taken to Qabristan accompanied by military brass, terrorists globally proscribed and politicians of that country. #WATCH | Bengaluru, Karnataka | BJP MP Tejasvi Surya says, "Today, I had the opportunity to fly in HTT-40, an indigenously built trainer aircraft produced by our own HAL (Hindustan Aeronautics Limited)... It is a symbol of India's aeronautical prowess... In 2012, the UPA government placed an order to procure trainer jets from a Swiss company for India's security needs... This procurement was riddled with questions. In 2019, a CBI inquiry proved that there was involvement of middlemen... The investigation led to the blacklisting of this Swiss company. The entire process led the indigenous trainer aircraft manufacturing programme of HAL to suffer... In 2014, after PM Narendra Modi came to lead the country and with the painstaking efforts of then defence minister Manohar Parrikar, HAL was given financial support and administrative encouragement to restart the indigenous trainer jet manufacturing programme... HTT 40 is a symbol of how India has travelled from scandal to self-reliance, from foreign dependency to Aatm Nirbharta, from not trusting our institutions and engineers to manufacturing state-of-the-art aircraft that are second to none in the world... The HJT aircraft, which is the intermediate jet trainer produced by HAL, is an aircraft with great potential to be made into a low-cost combat aircraft, especially to cater to the defence needs of the Global South. In the coming years, many countries in the Global South and South-East Asian countries have shown interest in buying these HAL-made low-cost fighter jets for their defence needs..."
