It's here! All power assets are now live on my GB Renewables Map ⚡ That's right, it's not just wind farms any more. Now you can see live and historic data for gas power plants, nuclear, grid batteries, biomass, pumped hydro and even a bit of solar. Wind farms are still the default for now, though you can enable as many or as few of the other fuel types and your selection will be remembered when you come back to the website. It's already live so go play for yourself here: There are numerous other updates as well: ⛔ Click the plug button to see a curtailment view, now including turn-up and a better visual representation of turn-down and turn-up actions ℹ️ Tooltips include loads more detail about fuel type and balancing actions ☢️ Each fuel type can be toggled using the map buttons 🧠 Map state is remembered when you reload or revisit the website ✨ Lots of new and under construction power assets are now on the map ↕️ Summary of balancing actions at the top of the map 🚦 Grid boundaries and constraints shown using a traffic light system And I'm only getting started! This update was the original goal of creating the map a few years ago. Now it's here I can shift focus to all the other ideas I have for it… Oh, and there's a new feedback button at the top. Please use it to let me know of any issues you find (there will be plenty) or suggestions to help improve this resource for everyone else. I'd also like to thank you for all the support and encouragement as I build this free resource in my free time (yup, this isn't my job). This update introduces the fully revamped Destiny Attack mechanic, increases game speed, fixes numerous issues/bugs, and continues to optimize & improve the first-time user experience (FTUE). Upcoming releases will focus on further FTUE enhancement for new players, and continue to introduce new features aimed at early retention and stickiness — en route to scale as we strive to become the #1 Luck Battle game in mobile, supercharged by onchain features. Beta Blocker 3.6 is here and it introduces a BIG new feature. Here's everything that's new: 🖥️ UI Overhaul. The entire interface has been cleaned up to feel more premium, modern, and less boxed-in. 📐 Better Window Scaling. Wider windows now properly use the available space instead of stretching awkwardly or leaving everything floating in the center. 🎨 Live Preview. The Style tab now includes a real-time preview, so you can see exactly what your block will look like before you enable it. ⚙️ Cleaner Detection Settings. Detection settings have been reorganised and simplified so everything is easier to understand. 🧭 Reworked Help & Settings Layout. Important options are now easier to find with a cleaner settings and help structure. now for the big one… 🔄 REVERSE CENSOR REWORK This is the biggest part of the update. Reverse Censor has been completely rebuilt. Instead of blocking detected areas, it now applies your block across the screen while leaving detected parts visible. First of all, we here at AMGI want to thank you all for being on this journey with us. We have been extremely busy. Over the last few weeks we have delivered a huge early access patch to My Pet Hooligan, delivered a new on-chain governance solution with WinVote, brought back NFTs in game, started testing the Street Kred system, made some new hires, delivered a new site for AMGI Studios and smashed the largest gaming event in the USA, PAX West. What does all of this mean and importantly what is next!.... PAX West You have seen the videos, you know the vibes were on point, but let's dive deeper into this and what the key takeaways are. PAX West was completely different to the WAGMI Crypto events that we are mostly used to in this space, although these are always fun and important, when creating gaming products, it is also important to get directly in front of people who have a passion for gaming. That's what PAX West was, hosting over 100,000 gamers who just want to play games and have fun. PAX West was a great success for us on many fronts. It confirmed that we have something special in our hands. Gamers loved both the brand and the game and were eager to get involved. It opened up new exciting opportunities with gaming and hardware companies. It was a blast seeing event goers from Day 2 onwards wearing the My Pet Hooligan t-shirts around the city. It was great to see parents playing the game together with their kids. The choices to not include blood and gore made a huge difference and have opened some new unexpected doors for us. Version 1 for now will allow for the trading of My Pet Hooligan NFTs, OG Hooligans and Zuckbots for $KARRAT. It will also serve as the marketplace for all of our upcoming in-game blockchain assets. This will eventually become part of your online My Pet Hooligan central hub and will include features such as rentals and subscriptions. It's been a long time coming but it shall be here very soon. First of all, we here at AMGI want to thank you all for being on this journey with us. We have been extremely busy. Over the last few weeks we have delivered a huge early access patch to My Pet Hooligan, delivered a new on-chain governance solution with WinVote, brought back NFTs in game, started testing the Street Kred system, made some new hires, delivered a new site for AMGI Studios and smashed the largest gaming event in the USA, PAX West. What does all of this mean and importantly what is next!.... PAX West You have seen the videos, you know the vibes were on point, but let's dive deeper into this and what the key takeaways are. PAX West was completely different to the WAGMI Crypto events that we are mostly used to in this space, although these are always fun and important, when creating gaming products, it is also important to get directly in front of people who have a passion for gaming. That's what PAX West was, hosting over 100,000 gamers who just want to play games and have fun. PAX West was a great success for us on many fronts. It confirmed that we have something special in our hands. Gamers loved both the brand and the game and were eager to get involved. It opened up new exciting opportunities with gaming and hardware companies. It was a blast seeing event goers from Day 2 onwards wearing the My Pet Hooligan t-shirts around the city. It was great to see parents playing the game together with their kids. The choices to not include blood and gore made a huge difference and have opened some new unexpected doors for us. Our new game infrastructure is being designed to be compatible with PC, Android, and IOS operating systems, featuring TPP-FPP game modes. 🎮 While conducting multiplayer tests on PC, we are effectively testing for mobile as well. Is Petoskey Becoming Traverse City 2.0? A housing development full of condos costing over $1.8 million is sure to only bring the worst sort of people to town By O.W. Root O.W. Root Petoskey — Whenever a new residential building goes up in a Northern town, the reaction from the locals is almost always the same. Squinted eyes and skepticism. The orange cones, the overturned soil, the trucks, the trees coming down, and the mini billboard out front designed to give everyone a little taste of what’s to come. It’s all viewed as a worrying harbinger of unwanted change. That sounds like fuddy-duddy-ism, I know. But it isn’t entirely. The towns on the lake Up North are quaint, beautiful, old, and almost every new build is the exact opposite. True, a new build can’t be an old house. But a new place can be designed to blend naturally with its surroundings. Curiously, they almost never are. The new buildings are almost always ugly eyesores sullying villages that remind us of more human times. New builds also mean more people are coming, and that’s not always a good thing. Yes, we need tourists in the summer, and a certain in-flow of new arrivals every so often is good and natural for a town. It means a place is attractive and desirable. But look at what’s happened to Traverse City. I hate to say it, but I hate going to Traverse City. It’s not a lake town anymore. It’s something much worse. In Petoskey, there’s a lot of construction going on, and it’s not all exactly encouraging. There are more buildings going up right now than any time in the past five years. Driving by some of these sites gives me somewhat of a sick feeling. It feels a little like an early stage Traverse City 2.0. Not all these new builds are equally worrying. The story is a little more complex. There is an actual housing shortage on Little Traverse Bay, and it’s not related to new arrivals who want to buy $750,000 homes. Reasonably priced housing is missing. A common complaint for many business owners is staff shortages. Simply put, normal working people can’t afford to live here, so there aren’t enough workers for the businesses here. That’s a real problem if you want your town to thrive. What we are seeing right now in Petoskey are two kinds of new buildings going up. The difference between them and their potential impacts are stark. Some are critical for the life of the town, and some will most likely attract the worst kind of people. Let us take a look at an example of each type of new build currently going up in Petoskey. The Block at Petoskey The Block at Petoskey is a brand new apartment complex on Standish Avenue, just west of Bear Creek River. It’s in a slow part of town, right at the edge where the houses trickle off and into the more commercial area approaching Meijer. Across the street are a tanning salon and an auto repair shop. The Block at Petoskey is set to include a gym, walking trails, a yoga studio, and a clubhouse. To be honest, The Block at Petoskey has nicer amenities than any apartment complex I’ve ever lived in. It includes just about everything you might want with a 2 bed-2 bath unit going for $1,724 per month. Aesthetically, the Block at Petoskey is okay. It’s not great, but it’s not terrible. It’s just fine. It’s not real bonafide cheap, but it’s not crazy either, and it’s certainly not luxury pricing. It’s built and priced for people who work for a living. It’s a needed development which will benefit the town. The Summit Over Bay Harbor The Summit Over Bay Harbor is an absurd development set to tower over US-31, just north of Bay Harbor. Based on the highly produced sleek simulations found on their website, the units might best be described as modern luxury. They are quite frankly, soulless expensive Lego slop. They have absolutely nothing in common with any of the traditional architecture of the area. They say Northern Michigan about as much as a cactus does. They start at—yes, start at—$1.8 million. Based on their map, they are planning almost 75 units. It’s a very nice area up here, but is it nice enough for 75 $1.8 million units? Eh, I don’t know about that. I’m not sure there is enough capital here to support 75 year-round residents who want to shell out $1.8 million for what amounts to a modern condo overlooking 31 and Bay Harbor. The traditional type of Northern resident (seasonal or year-round) who wants to spend $1.8 million will generally seek out a historical home or build something more culturally in-line with the area. Say what you want about Bay Harbor, but at least they try. There is something a little off about it there only because it’s impossible to build something new that also feels organic and old. But the spirit and direction is right. The hope is correct at Bay Harbor. At least the homes feel like they are attempting some kind of organic integration into the historical architecture and general spirit of the area. The Summit Over Bay Harbor is most likely not going to be for the traditional kinds of residents of Little Traverse Bay. I very much doubt that the majority of the units will be lived in year-round. Most will be short-term rentals. I suspect the units will function more as investments for people who don’t live here. There will be no positive cultural impact. Keeping the lake towns as the lake towns we love is an extremely delicate operation. Balancing new arrivals, housing, jobs, local culture, trying to remain vital while not destroying the reason we want to be here in the first place is like balancing on a tightrope. It needs to be done very carefully. Petoskey needs apartments like The Block at Petoskey. These more reasonably priced places will certainly help to keep working residents here and the town alive year-round. Petoskey doesn’t need the soulless investment units of The Summit over Bay Harbor unless we want to become Traverse City 2.0. And we certainly don’t.

They only persist when they have output, so your terminal stays clean. Just wrapped up Hardwood Empire 3.2. A lot of the most asked for features / improvements you guys have been pushing for are in this one. Live Interactive Court: Biggest visual upgrade we've made. Gamecast now has a full live court built into the sim with dynamic home court branding, center logos, arena styling, and live shot mapping. You can actually see where shots happen in real time instead of just reading text. Dynamic Crowds: Arenas feel alive now. Crowds scale based on prestige, so blue blood home games feel packed while smaller gyms feel smaller. Neutral site games can have split crowds depending on who's playing, and fans react live during big moments. Usage Control System: Still the normal 1st / 2nd / 3rd option setup, but now there's also full usage sliders if you want total control over offensive shot distribution. One guy taking over or a completely balanced system, totally up to you. Plugs directly into the actual sim. Music: Added in-game soundtracks for a more immersive experience, with more music coming next update. Gameplay / Sim Improvements: Big realism pass. Late game logic is much smarter, offensive systems behave more realistically, and I spent a lot of time tuning sim rates so scoring, assists, rebounds, pace, and advanced metrics better match modern college basketball. Also tuned long-term dynasty balance so smaller / mid-major schools can still have real breakthrough runs without turning into permanent national powers every save. Other Fixes + QOL: New Player IQ attribute. Working haptics on iOS + Android. Transfer portal affordability indicators. Career / retirement history fixes. International recruit fixes. Schedule + MTE fixes. UI polish. And more. Everything in this update is completely free. No God Mode purchase needed. 3.1 got submitted before I was even home from school, so 3.2 had way more time for polish and bug fixes, and the update after this will probably be way more bug-focused since the game has a ton of features now and making everything as polished and stable as possible is the priority. #VPDNews: The Vancouver Police Department (VPD) is adding new cutting-edge technologies to help keep the city safe. The new tools enhance frontline officer awareness, strengthen accountability, and build on the Department’s mission to protect public safety while balancing the privacy of both the community and VPD officers. In the air, VPD is the first police agency in Canada to deploy Skydio X10 drones for a Drone as First Responder Program. After extensive testing, six of the remote-piloted drone systems will be deployed. The drones have already been in testing for several weeks and are fully approved by Transport Canada. “The potential of the Skydio drone systems in our work is impressive for many reasons, not least of which is they will be able to link with our body-worn cameras,” said Inspector Wade Rodrigue, with the VPD’s Force Options Training Section. “For example, if an officer is in trouble, perhaps being assaulted, they can tap their camera three times which will automatically deploy a Skydio drone to their exact location at the direction of the pilot in command. Pilots can also fly the drones to a crime in progress, arrive first, and send their video feeds to responding officers on the ground as well as the Operations Command Center (OCC). That gives us better intel on what’s happening and can help responding officers to pursue suspects who may try and evade them.” The VPD will continue to adhere to its posted policyand procedures as well as those prescribed by Transport Canada and Nav Canada with respect to the operation of Remotely Piloted Aircraft Systems (RPAS) assets. The weatherproof Skydio drone launch/landing pods are installed on rooftops at strategic locations throughout Vancouver, including the VPD’s Tactical Training Centre. The drones will only record video when that function is activated by a pilot, and only when appropriate as per policy. Body-worn cameras are also expanding in function. The Axon body cameras used by VPD now have the ability to translate language in real time with Axon Assistant, allowing officers to understand at the push of a button whatever is being said to them in over 50 languages, and to have their reply translated into the language recognized as being spoken. Real-Time Translation adds to VPD’s current translation offerings and will be used when a quick translation is needed. “When you consider how multicultural Vancouver is, this translation ability is a game-changer,” said Sergeant Dermot O’Boyle. “We want to be able to help everyone in our city, including those who may not be fluent in English. Being able to understand what they’re telling us is a critical first step to getting them the help they need.” Body-worn camera footage can also now be live-streamed to the VPD’s Operations Command Centre so personnel there can see what the officer is seeing and dispatch additional resources as needed.
