Civilians fleeing Al-Shifa Hospital complex described what they witnessed after days of being trapped there while the Israeli army conducted a military operation in and around the hospital. The Israeli army claimed it had “concrete intelligence” that Hamas operatives had regrouped there. Over 800 people in Al-Shifa were detained and many were killed, including doctors and patients.

The bodies were delivered to forensic authorities and the relevant institutions for formal burial, as crews continued working through the hospital’s courtyards and makeshift graves.
