A single guy who has never made a game vs an entire Fucking team. It's obvious that is going to be better.

I mean, gameplay wise? Yes. Story wise? Asriel takes it.

I mean, duh. No wonder. It's got access to the technology for cooler shit and wasn't programmed by Toby "every dialogue is in one colossal else/if chain" Fox. (no diss to toby's name, but undertale is not very well programmed iirc)

UTY has it's flaws. Story, characters, etc, could use work. But where UTY shined most imo was in the soundtrack, art, and the fights. The fights were pretty solid, and I really enjoyed Ceroba's and Meta-Flowey's boss fights (never did geno). I wouldn't say they're better.

They are completely fucking wrong, Ceroba sucks as a character entirely and UTY would be better if she never existed tbh

The thing is, Asriel did bad things as Flowey—quite a few of them, time and time again. Ceroba is a grieving mother who made human errors—mistakes never made with the intention of hurting anyone—and that hurts; I don't want to fight her...

I didnt like ceroba final boss I just didnt feel incentivised to lock in and learn the fight and oh boy do you have to learn cause the attacks lack clarity The UTY genocide final boss had considerably more clear attack patterns. Friggin Asriel did and you cant die in that fight

Both og and yellow have their own flaws and strenght but i personally think that gameplay wise yellow is better most of the time (emphasis that i didnt say always)

Imagine thinking more detailed animations = better fight

They had their own (great) theme for this fight, and had to throw it away for a forced crumb of fanservice with the Hopes and Dreams remix. Really cheapened the moment.
