On 23 September 2025, during an official press conference convened by Congress, opposition leaders at the LAHDC Leh, Congress Councillor Smanla Dorjey Norboo declared: “You may deploy thousands—or even lakhs—of CRPF and register any FIRs under any sections of law against me. But I will still go to the BJP office; I will lead the stone-pelting. Now, We will face the Muslim League in Parliament as the main opposition Party in the Parliament of India is the Muslim League!! Congress should've treated Muslims as Indians, but they treated Muslims as - Vote Bank. 18 out of 19 MLAs that Congress has won in Assam are Muslims. 18 of the 20 muslims fielded by congress have won. Only 1 out of the other 79 non- Muslims fielded by Congress won !! Kerala has elected- 35 Muslim MLAs in an assembly of 140 & 30 are from Congress led UDF Alliance. And 8 of Congress MLAs are Muslims & all 22 of Ally- Indian Union Muslim League MLAs are Muslims. Congress won 2 seats in West Bengal and both of them are - Muslims from Muslim majority seats. In Tamil Nadu, Congress nominated 2 Muslims out of which 1 has won. That is how congress has become the new Muslim League. Don't be against Muslims but why to become Muslim League Party, which is divisive!

Congress responded the only way they could: they sent their MLAs to a resort in Karnataka to stop any possibility of cross-voting. But on 9 June, during scrutiny, Congress candidate Meenakshi Natarajan’s nomination was rejected after BJP pointed out omissions in her affidavit regarding a civil case.
