Fucking loved this movie, had it on dvd as a kid, played it god knows how many times. 😂 Road trips “the lil TV’s that would hang on the back of a carseat” dvd player in the living room, grandmas house “everywhere basically.” Lol

That whole sequence: he launches airborne, draws his blaster, and just picks off ‘Cons one by one as he falls to the ground — then mows down whoever is left once he lands. Possibly the most badass aura I’ve ever seen in film.

Even though Peter Cullen didn’t like Optimus Prime’s death scene back then , this scene hit differently when the world learns about his passing. Going to theaters to experience this iconic moment for it’s 40th anniversary was a once in a lifetime opportunity.
