Human trafficking is a crime, and I hope this is dealt with in a way that stops others from ever thinking they can prey on people’s ignorance again. Why these guys believed they would be trained in Russia is beyond comprehension. Trained to then do what, and for whose benefit? This is why I always say that common sense and critical thinking are not optional, they are essential. This is the danger of supporting personalities instead of ideas and a clear value system. When you follow faces instead of principles, you end up in situations that defy logic and put lives at risk.

Jordan Peterson on how to easily overcome social anxiety: 1. Social anxiety is not shyness. When you walk into a social situation, your brain registers it as a dominance hierarchy that is judging you. A negative judgment means low status. Low status interferes with everything your biology cares about. You are not being irrational. You are being evaluated by something that feels like nature itself, and your nervous system knows it. 2. Telling an anxious person to stop thinking about themselves does not work. You cannot tell someone to stop thinking about something. They get caught in the loop. Stop thinking about a white elephant. white elephant. white elephant. The instruction makes it worse. The only way out is to give the brain something else to do. 3. The actual solution is to look at other people. not glance. Genuinely look. Watch their face. Track what they are thinking. The moment you focus outward, your automatic social mechanisms engage, and the awkwardness dissolves on its own. You cannot be socially calibrated and self-focused at the same time. Attention can only go in one direction. 4. When speaking to a group, never try to address the group. It does not exist as a thing you can talk to. Every time I hear the debate between English identity and multiculturalism, I’m deeply confused. Multiculturalism essentially means that “Englishness” is an empty vessel in which cultures live together, that the vessel of being a country is neutral and empty of content. There’s been an elite project in Britain, America and Canada and generally in the English speaking world, to empty identity of distinctiveness and culture and into that empty vessel, pour any old random thing. Literally any old idea unexamined. And so you now have in Britain, a very small minority of radical islamists. They are tiny. Most muslims are not radical. They are tiny, and yet they can run your streets because everybody else is an empty vessel. You look at that idea and you say that’s not me, that’s not us, and you spit it out. But if you don’t know what me and us is, you can’t look at an idea and say that’s not us. One of the most precious things you could give your children is a thousand years of culture. It’s who you are and who you have been. Now I’m an Israeli Jew who firmly believes a nation can be multiracial but I’m worried about multicultural. Because culture is the single most important decider of human behavior. It’s the single most important thing to have in a cohesive country. To Westerners who have been trained by generations of elites to not know who you are because of a misunderstanding of what happened in the 20th century, because of a misunderstanding of where colonialism and WWII comes from, as thinking too much about your own culture, or thinking your culture is too good, is what caused the Holocaust, you need to step back. “Germaness” is not what caused the Holocaust - Haviv Rettig Gur nails it. This is a great video by Mike Winger. Many people who don’t know my story think I grew up in the church. I actually grew up in an Atheist home and I was told not to question science or the belief that there is no God. I had many questions and I was encouraged not to ask them. That doesn’t sound like critical thinking or free thinking. Search for the truth yourself to be sure of what you believe. That’s why I encourage Christians to know what you believe and why you believe it.

A joint that is articulated can move with precision and grace. A person who is articulated can move through the world the same way. Vague people are one solid useless mass. Articulate people have range. 2. Peterson calls articulate people the most dangerous people in the world. Not dangerous in a destructive way. Dangerous in the sense that they cannot be ignored, dismissed, or pushed around. The word is the most powerful tool a human being can carry. 3. It does not matter what you do for a living. A plumber who is articulate can negotiate better contracts, manage employees, advertise services, and think through complex problems. Articulation is not a luxury for intellectuals. It is a practical weapon available to everyone. 4. Jocko Willink is one of the most decorated special operations soldiers alive. Peterson uses him as his primary example of why articulation matters even in the most physically demanding environments. Jocko succeeded not just because he was tough. He succeeded because he could communicate clearly with the men under his command, explain situations to his superiors, and make the case for soldiers who deserved promotion. Toughness without articulation leaves half your power on the table. 5. Becoming articulate starts with paying attention to what you say. Peterson uses the image of crossing a swamp on a hidden stone path. You cannot see the path. You feel for it with each step. You test the ground before you commit your weight. Joe Rogan is one of the most successful communicators alive and his entire method is the opposite of instrumental language. He is not trying to appear smart. a message of support to trainees who are about to enlist #YUGYEOM: everyone is equally scared and anxious. i think the difference comes from your mindset. if you go in thinking, “i don't want to do this,” or “this is boring,” it really becomes that way. but if you go in thinking, “let's really do our best,” or “let's really have fun or at least learn as much as we can,” i think time goes by quickly. if you come in knowing just that, i think you will be able to do it without regrets.
