The County Judge stated she wanted to raise taxes. Here it is on this week's agenda for Commissioners Court meeting. To my knowledge, there hasn't been one suggestion to look at the budget and see where we can save some money. We don't have a revenue problem. Enjoy Tax Freedom Day this week! So far, on average, you have worked the first 4 months of this year to pay taxes to the Government. Taxes have now risen to about a third of the economy under Labor. Under Labor, Tax Freedom Day has been getting later and later. Taxes are up $26,000 per Australian household per year since COVID. Now Labor wants more taxes. Labor wants a tax on property (removing negative gearing), Labor wants a tax on investment (increasing tax on capital gains) and a tax on small businesses (taxing the trusts that so many use). Enough with more Labor taxes that just make you work more for them.

I dont' always agree with Joe Rogan, but I do respect his views, and he's right on here: “Here's the real problem. Republicans won't be the solution either, kids. The problem is people in a position of power. The Republicans seem like they are your solution, but it's just because the people in power right now are the Democrats. Whenever the Democrats are out and the Republicans are in, everybody is dying for a Democrat... It's just the same structure with a different face.”
