This got my Pk ripper from back in 1983 🔥🔥

When I was a kid in the 80s if you had a Diamond Back you were a neighborhood bad ass and the envy of many, especially if you were also good on it!

I had a Huffy Pro Lightning. All the kids wanted a Diamond Back. The rich kids (2 story house kids) in the neighborhood had them. But my Huffy kicked ass.

Need some Hutch bear claws on that beauty.

My older brothers both had Diamondbacks but I had a Schwinn Predator (until it got stolen).

This or a Mongoose were a 12 year old's wet dream back then.

This was the bike we all asked for for Christmas or birthday. Most of us got dorky KMart bikes instead but we rode/beat the shit out of them and had fun anyway. But man, riding a Diamond Back or Mongoose meant immediate promotion to top of the neighborhood hierarchy.

Mine was all white but everything else looks the same as I remember man do I miss having that bike 🤍

We couldn't afford one when I was a kid so I got the Huffy version 😭

That’s all we wanted as kids

Not that I can actually remember 🤔🤣 but about 8 years earlier I had a Redline that I built from scratch. All the way down to spoking my own rims! I would take that thing apart every week, clean & grease it, ready for racing on Sunday somewhere around San Diego County.

I had a Nishiki that was 40 pounds of awesomeness. It didn’t break after one of my jumps. Mongoose’s were expensive at 100.00 at the time. 😞
