Not as bad as it seemed IMO. Those type of rushers with that very wide 9 alignment is tough for him but it looks like a technique issue on several of them verses an inability to make the block. He stops moving his feet & seems hesitant to widen out to take away the outside.

It wasn’t as bad as it seemed. He did better with help. This is a tough DL to maintain an isolated pass block. Watch how much better he is when Burrow is under center. Over use of the shotgun is the bengals biggest OL problem - it allows defenses to tee off on Burrow because the Bengals can’t establish a solid run game out of the Gunn.

They won't face a defense that good for quite awhile. He's not great, we all know this, but there aren't too many options that even equal what OBJ does?

Brown wasn’t good but one of those sacks you could almost argue was on Meyers. Bad chip that also put Anderson even farther away from Brown.

He appeared to look out of shape, I know lineman carry extra weight but he looks sloppy.

This isn’t great The chip at 45 seconds is ridiculous scheme wise. If you’re going to chip him then do it. Don’t push him inside when the guard is going slide side

Not as bad as I felt during the game. Getting beat by a top 5 Edge isn’t rare. I still think the Bengals need to lean more on the run. Gas out the opposing D, let your defense cook, then sprinkle some shots in. I don’t think we have to throw it 30 times a game to win with this D
