Yeah, the trinity makes no sense. It requires separating essence from personhood as two distinct things without an overarching category above them that would include them both. Yet, somehow this “God” is still one, still somehow unified as one whole reality despite the fact that the essence of this “God” doesn’t precede the persons, who are said to all hold the essence fully.
