A very nice presentation, but the Idowu part is where I disagree. Idowu as Esu leyin ibeji does not denote stubbornness or anything negative and does not mean devil as well. The true Yoruba meaning of Esu leyin Ibeji simply means: The one that protects the twins, Esu in that context means 'Su bo' means cover or protect. Esu leyin Ibeji: the one that protects or watches the back of the twins. The pre- Ajayi Crowder Yoruba believes Èsú as God of protection and wealth not the one that rebelled against God that fell from the sky. Thank you.

I didn't say devil though? Èṣù is also a trickster god. And in this context...it means the children are stubborn not evil.

My name is OJO by birth, but because literally , the IJEBUs don’t answer to Ojo, they call them AINA. “Ijebu nj’ojo, AINA romi nje” it’s also an adage in ijebu dialect

💯💯
