Yoruba soups were definitely invented during wars, famine and hardship. Dry the okro to preserve it for famine then blend and cook it during famine. Their soups are always tasteless and unpleasant to the eye because of their origin. I'm sure there's a name for 3 days Eba.

The soup is not specific to Yorubas,we in the middle belt eat during the dry season when fresh okra is not available,I personally prefer it to normal okro
